r with her in it and i was yelling at both of them b c he s no where near old enough to drive and how irresponsible are they ect ect then i woke up and was telling daddy chaos about it only to realize that my baby is turning fifteen this year which means he takes driver s ed this summer which means he is almost ready to be driving ahhh i don t understand how we got to this point already sigh on a not so good note we recently had kindergarten round up yep dimples will be going to kindergarten next year he is in a normal preschool w a para for extra help this year and has been doing wonderfully still we knew that his developmental delay sticker would fall off this year and we d have to do more testing in order to get him an iep help next year for kindy it s been on my mind to call the special ed teacher at the school system and chat with her about it but she beat me to it and called yesterday imagine my surprise when she went on to say that she feels that he is very bright why yes he is a very smart boy and is doing well in preschool 2 5hrs day and feels that he doesn t need tested and can just go to kindy with no help it took a few moments for me to even formulate a response no testing no help while on the outside that may sound wonderful inside it is instant fear i know this boy i know how very very smart he is i also know his limits with behaviour social skills language you see he can hold it in for a few hours if he s not with a trusted loved one he can do it but the minute he s back in a safe environment all hell breaks loose i called up my bestie and told her the news she immediately said what lol love her she has a 4yr old one month older than dimples and so yes i compare where they are not educationally but overall dimples does not play with other children he prefers to play alone yes he can occasionally play beside them but it s rare for him to actually interact with others even special ed teacher admits this is still not potty trained urology feels it has to do with his sensory issues and sometimes it takes longer for them to train yeah i can imagine their faces when he goes to kindergarten without a plan and wearing a pullup or diaper has tantrums like you would not believe just yesterday skipped preschool b c he fell asleep at 11am and would not wake up for anything until 3pm oh there is more and more i am just shocked that this teacher who spends only 1 day per week with him feels that he is a typical almost 5yr old i did feel much better after talking to ms random about it and saw that it wasn t just me living in the past so we are heading back down to the big hospital to have another big evaluation we did it when he was 3 and were dx with developmental delays speech language delays lots of autistic tendencies so i m hoping now my kids on their birthdays so i decided to switch it up this year this year i m doing some things i want to remember because quite frankly in case you haven t noticed i don t have a lot of memory left up in the old noggin sooo this year fishing pole turns 6 as hard as it was to believe attitude king was turning 14 it s even harder to comprehend fishing pole being 6 six it seems so old wears size 5t pants sometimes 4x but they tend to big 4x in shirts weighs 40 lbs and is 41 tall is growing his hair out for a big fro he thinks it will help his chances for getting on the big rides next time we go many things for many people drivers license first dates when you are young you can hardly wait to finally be older first it s 13 finally a teenager then it s 16 woohoo car time baby then 18 an adult at last ha finally 21 party time i think after 21 most people don t look forward to birthdays quite the same way when you are the parent of the child turning any of these ages you don t look forward to it with quite the same enthusiasm 13 hormones ugh 16 trust them with a car ack 18 my baby s growing up 21 quite frankly i m not even thinking of that age yet lol yesterday was drama queen s birthday look i made that hat and she s actually wearing it wow sweet sixteen is here already it s funny how some things are ingrained into your memory i know i say this over and over but she was my first it s hard to believe that my baby is 16 gawd i m getting old sixteen seems to be the age where your parents know pretty much nothing where you can love them one minute and gossip like bff s only for a switch to flip and be completely embarrassed to be seen with them the next i cherish the good times and try to hold back the urge to grab a soap bar to wash mouths with during the not so good what else can ya do we do 1present per year it s something that i started several years ago and i really enjoy it but do you know how hard it is to try to figure out 16 presents for a 16yr old girl so surrogacy was a wonderful experience for me i almost wish i could do it again life is so much busier now that i m not sure i have the time to devote now and soon i ll be too old sigh miss dilly s mom i chatted last nite and recounted where we all were 7yrs ago you see i was induced with her in the morning of june 11 dilly had other plans apparently she held out and held out and held out until finally she was born a little after midnight thus moving her birthday to june 12 i m pretty sure she knew what she was doing she just wanted to share her birthday with one of the most important men in my life today is also his birthday for the record yes those are dimple s phineas ferb sunglasses lol daddy chaos and i have been together for half of my life yes you read that correctly half of my life how do you top that later this month we ll be at the 1 2way point and every day after that will be one more day that i have spent with him very soon i ll have spent more of my life with him than without it boggles the mind in this day and age where everyone is divorced or not getting married until their 30 s we have been together since we were 17 18 it s no wonder i can t imagine my life daddy chaos surrogacy no comments thursday may 26 2011 to my last of the last you are my very last baby the very last of the last babyhood ends completely with you and i will no longer be the mom to a baby or toddler today you turn 3 3 how did you ever get to be so big three talks of riding tricycles and blowing bubbles it leaves toddlerhood behind and embraces the years of being a preschooler i m not sure i m ready for 35months i rocked you patted you just so and hummed along with you to get you to sleep at night just like when you were born a month early you decided a month ago that you were a big boy and all the sudden started going to sleep on your own in your own bed shoved right next to momma s so you can reach thru the crib and feel my hand 35months of sleeping on me or shoved up next to me i moaned more often than not about the crappy sleep i was getting having you in my bed and now with the blink of an eye it s gone where was my transition kid at this point in your life you re a bit behind i ve pretty much convinced myself that it s partly because i ve chanted in your ear since you came home don t grow up too fast you re the last of my babies stay little sometimes we wonder if you are really as behind as you appear or if it s just all a ruse you pop out suddenly with this new talent that surprises us all and comforts us that you are learning you are always on the run i fear i m really sucking at documenting this time in your life because you are in constant motion and i can rarely get a picture of your face i settle for taking lots of pictures of you sleeping seriously have you seen anything more adorable although it s your birthday today i have yet to buy you a present you hate to open them anyway and quite honestly i have no idea what to get you i m pretty sure i ll be scouring the stores for the last few zhu zhu pets that we have yet to own because you have this odd obsession with them right now we ll have your party when gpa gets home from the hospital so that buys me a few days dimples you are my itty bitty my tiny boy my last baby try not to grow up too fast i ll miss these baby years happy birthday dimples we love you so so much xoxo
