31 2023 by stalkingvengeance 2 and another blaugust has reached its end with this article marking the 31st release on my blog this month i can only assume what the other blaugustians are thinking but i for one am happy that i reached my goal but also relieved that the august is over since daily blogging is quite a lot of stress that i am not really willing to deal with on a regular basis year round and just like in blaugust 2022 it could have been worse i was aware that blaugust would happen and therefore had plenty of scheduled posts that were ready to fill slots whereever necessary this pool of prepared content sure has been drained by publishing every single day and without preparation i would not be able to make it to thirty one posts in the blaugust 2022 reflections post i placed a screenshot of my ratios of published posts to scheduled posts and drafts and the transition is quite interesting sure i have about one hundred and sixty more articles published but the amount of drafts also increased when compared to the number from 2022 there is simply a lot that i want to cover which led to drafts steadily increasing when they normally should have gone down not that i am complaining the opportunity of simply releasing thirty one articles and getting a nice badge for doing so is definitely one i willing to partake in again and like i said before the idea of making with a schedule of a planned post per day i did not manage to check out all of the over one hundred blogs that participated in blaugust 2023 fortunately i can still look up the list of blogs and simply wander through them during the following months for cubic creativity august 2023 was pretty much a success with chances being moderately high that the month is going to be the best ever in terms of viewer numbers also back in 2022 i announced that the blog had surpassed 50 000 views in total with a nice picture of said milestone attached well i cannot show you a picture of the next milestone in this article because it happened weeks ago with my current total views being around 108 000 long story short the future looks bright for cubic creativity with lots of things to write about and the surge in viewership hopefully meaning that people like the content and or are interested in the topics at hand if you read this and feel like i should cover a specific topic in my more modern ish regions of magic again which is pretty silly since the cardboard i refer to as modern here is from mid 2000 nevertheless the set in question here is exodus and this time i simply chose the deck with the most imposing name first without looking at what colors the deck features my choice was widowmaker which happens to be a blue black aggro control deck combining some staples we have seen before with new cards from exodus and a heavy emphasis on discarding cards from your hand to fuel effects this is definitely an approach that i can work with so let s hope the cards in the deck get my article for etrian odyssey published one of my favorite game series i encountered the game by sheer accident buying a german copy for its cover art back in the day lending the game to my uncle forgetting about it then getting it back years later and rediscovering my love for the anime artstyled dungeon crawler and after i finished it there was a longing for more lucky for me there was more available since it took me that long to get it back on the radar so i went to the same gamestore i bought the first title from all those years back ordered the second one at a good price and then started playing it on a class trip to london back when i was working on my access to higher education good times i can tell you but etrian odyssey ii is not simply the continuation of the first game content but little of the more personal touches in form of blog post that the format allows for well time to change that lessons learned is the general theme of the last week of blaugust which in my case could also be named mistakes were made not that there is any shame in learning from mistakes quite the opposite is the case i mean if you don t know certain things from the start changes are that you do them wrong and the willingness to give it another try and fix it is admirable in my opinion so for this post i wanted to talk about some of the things i did on my blog that turned out to be might be interesting to me i come running to get my own copy one of the games i received for free on steam is hue a puzzle game and platformer that you might have guessed it works a lot with color presented in a minimalistic style that reminds me of games like limbo hue mixes up the black and white presentation with booming and loud colors taking centerstage both in terms of visuals as well as 10 there is this lets call it a trope that i often encounter when i hear people talk about their favorite series since they enjoy the content at hand they never want it to end and always want to producers to make more in the best case scenario indefinitely i do not share this notion since at some point you have reached all you wanted to do with a game so you either bring out the same product with a different paint of color or like in the case of rock of ages iii make break you seemingly get so disinterested in the franchise that you might as well make it worse there is innovation to find in the third installment of tower defense boulder rolling but when i read voices online that said they liked rock of ages 2 better i did not know what to make of it well now i know having played the
