the time to stop and visit with the charmed life blog today hope your weekend was a great one and you had some crafty time it was one of those lazy weekends for me i intended to get some crafting and de stashing done but that didn t happen i watched the ncaa basketball games with my hubby and got caught up in that we have a family bracket where you get bragging rights as the winner so far my hubby is in a tie for 1st place our sons daughters in law grandsons and granddaughter are all playing we also have a group for the women s tournament and i picked those teams since i know nothing about the women s teams i let espn do an auto pick for me we are all very close in that group and i am in 7th place but it s still early in the tournament i am rooting for my granddaughter to win now onto my card for today this one i created for a ways to use it challenge on splitcoaststampers we were challenged us to use a brand new item from your craft stash this kit showed up in my mailbox the other day it s a kit from ldrs designs and includes everything you need to make some wilderness themed birthday cards it includes card bases die cuts and envelopes i think they all have a masculine vibe i chose the wolves to make my brother s birthday he celebrates this month the wolves are printed on the card base and i took one of the die cut toppers and popped it up to overlay the base image it gives it a nice 3d look the sentiment that came in the kit is a rub on design added a few black enamel dots to complete the card well that s it for me for this post so until next time god bless card 19 2026 friends are sunshine of life hello blogger friends thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the charmed life blog today well i just finished my federal state income taxes for 2025 i am quite a bit earlier this year i usually wait until the filing date of april 15 but i bought the turbo tax software in early february and this past week i organized all the necessary receipts so i worked on it yesterday and just finished up today they are both e filed and i already heard on the federal return that it was received and accepted so relieved they are done now onto my card for today this one i created using the colors from the splitcoaststampers color challenge we were to use coastal cabana silver and pool party for our color trio optional was to use stripes it didn t work for my card design so i skipped the option coastal cabana silver pool party for my card i used the stampin up flowering foils designer paper and colored in some of the flowers this paper pack is a few years old and was never opened until i made this card it has such pretty papers so i plan on using it again for the coloring i used ink daubers with coastal cabana and pool party inks i decided not to color the silver trimmed leaves and i like how the flowers are outlined in copper foiling layered the designer paper on brushed silver cardstock and then coastal cabana as my card base i stamped my sentiment on a die cut label added some coastal cabana ribbon and scattered a few sequins to complete my card well that s it for me for this post so until next time god bless card details stamps taking the time to stop and visit with the charmed life blog today happy st patrick s day my maternal grandmother was of irish descent i don t celebrate the day but here in pittsburgh there is a st patrick s day parade held downtown they make it quite festive and it draws a lot of people i did create a card for a friend of mine she is going to give it away to a good friend of hers who goes all out for the celebration she likes celebrating her irish heritage to create my card i used the colors from the splitcoaststamper color challenge we were to use garden green crushed curry and black for the color trio dessert option this week is st patrick s day garden green rushed curry basic black for my card i tried a new to me funfold it s the latch fold i found all the measurements on the f lowerbugs inkspot blog i used a st patrick s day cupcake die from cottagecutz and cut in the challenge colors stampin up has two tone garden green cardstock and i used that for the cupcake frosting and for the background embossing i used the stripes folder from stampin up the sentiment is an old digi set that verve was offering back in 2017 the striped designer paper is also from stampin up this is my card inside again i used the digi set that verve was offering it came in handy since it s the only st patrick day sentiments that i have well that s it for me for this post so until next time taking the time to stop and visit with the charmed life blog today it s a stormy day here in pittsburgh and we have a tornado watch until 8 00 pm tonight it s been raining most of the day and we have some sort of storm blowing through the area right now so i wanted to get this blog post in before we have any lightning which is supposed to happen with this round of storms now onto my card for today i made this for a special niece for her birthday she likes bluejays so i colored this one with stampin up alcohol markers in shades of blue i used the colors from the splitcoaststampers color challenge 1085 i was the hostess and i chose night of navy basic white and silver for the color trio white silver night of navy my background designer paper is from the stampin up feels like frost collection the card base is night of navy i used the stampin up toile christmas stamp set for the bird image i colored him with night of navy stampin blends to make him look like a bluejay then i placed him on a branch cut from white glitter paper using a cottagecutz die also added die cut white glitter sprigs wanted it to have a snowy appearance the other side of the designer paper has silver 2026 gone bananas hello blogger friends thanks for taking the time to stop and visit with the charmed life blog today i have been showing my valentine cards this week because i was traveling in january february then i was down with a cold for a week so this card is another that i created for valentine s day i gave this one to my friends little boy who is handicapped and in a wheelchair i go to visit him weekly to give my friend a break he looks forward to my visits and i look forward to spending time with him to create this card i used the colors from the splitcoaststampers color challenge 1091 we were to use crushed curry blueberry bushel and azure afternoon for the color trio optional was to use a 4th color i chose real red crushed curry blueberry bushel azure afternoon i cut my juggling monkey in the challenge colors and used 2 shades of brown as neutrals for the bananas i used a blending brush and fossilized amber distress ink on white cardstock i used a light touch to get the color to be more like bananas i added some strips of red designer paper to the bottom and top of the card my stamped sentiment is from the lawn fawn my silly valentine set the die cut
