point thanks to streaming 10 dance i watched this because it was about ballroom dancing and because it starred a couple of handsome japanese fellows who might or might not fall in love its about two rival dancers at the top of their particular professions one of them is a classical ballroom dancer and the other is a latin ballroom dancer which also means that their approaches to life and their profession are wholly opposite one another one of them is reserved controlled and disciplined where the other one lives a passionate wilder more impulsive lifestyle the series isn t so much about their competition or their training for it as it is about the two of them learning to work together perhaps even learning to love each other naturally there are quite a number of rocky moments in the show and quite a lot of really good dancing and some backstory as well the guys do have female partners but the women are there mostly to comment on the developing relationship between the two men i enjoyed this primarily on the strength of the dancing and the acting was engaging i was heavily reminded of the original 1996 japanese film shall we dance which is one of my favorites there s an element of that in this series but not too much and i was gently surprised train dreams train dreams is an example of filmmaking i ve been trying to get into the last few years called slow cinema which is lowkey contemplative even dreamlike with long static shots minimal noise natural lighting and reserved acting i cannot say it was enjoyable but i did like it because it was very relaxing except for the amount of tragedy in it it reminded me of a terence malick film although i don t think the creators were trying to ape that style it took me a while to recognize the voice of will patton as the voiceover it s a historical film starring joel edgerton about the life of a man who works on trains and logging a lot of it takes place outdoors there is minimal dialogue and lots of atmosphere there is also a lot of tragedy involved the lead character mostly witnesses a lot of horrible accidents which has a great emotional effect on his approach to living but he seems unable to 2026 by lkeke35 in tv shows movies lists leave a comment it s almost that time of year for me to start picking my summer movie watching list wooo that s right i m getting myself ready for superheroes action films and horror schlock and to eating waay too much popcorn while sitting under some grueling air conditioning the only problem i usually have is paying for the tickets fortunately we do have a couple of first run discount theaters that offer loyalty cards so i think i m gonna be okay maybe i am already talking things over with my niece and nephew to see what they re into this summer i will probably seeing at least a couple of movies alone but i think they ll be onboard for most of this summer s offerings here in no particular order are a few more interesting trailers some for tv some for the theater and a couple of them i m really really excited about year of the rabbit this is one for tv i think an historical comedy is kinda novel so i m interested in this one i also like the lead actor who played in the tv series what we do in the shadows all of hte hallmark tropes of victorian london are present except this seems a little less dirty forbidden city this is not a movie that s plying in a theater near me but i will catch this when it streams this looks pretty cool let s see martial arts revenge against traffickers and a little bit of romance i m in lanterns this is another tv series i m looking forward to i read the green lantern books when i was a teenager and off and on as an adult but while my first gl was hal jordan my fave gl was john i like the hal actor cuz i ve seen him in other stuff but i m not onboard with actor who plays joh cuz he s just not who i pictured but i hope it s a good show so far i m two for two on picking good shows to watch with wonder man and pluribus and i think this trend will continue man on fire i m kinda excited for this one it stars the same guy from wonder man yahya abdul mateeen and i m becoming a really big fan of this guy i m eager to see what he can do in one denzel washington s old roles only it s a tv series i guess the studios thought they were successful enough with a series version of denzel s the equalizer that a series based on another one of his movies would also be a hit i like it bushido im not sure if this is a new version of this movie or not i know there s an version of this on amazon is this new i don t care the trailer is still lovely let s watch it anyway bait riz ahmed turns in another interesting performance in this meta james bond esque film that s set in the real world and follows his acting career as he gets set to maybe play a secret agent i like riz i ll try anything he stars in and this actually looks like fun spiderman brand new day this is the movie my nephew and i are waiting for we are both huge spiderman fans and have watched all of the spiderman movies together so here we go get your popcorn ready the vampire lestat final trailer song this is the final trailer music video for the tv series i m looking forward to this it should be great fun dune pt 3 this looks pretty heavy i would like to re read the novel before this is released in december i m still not too fond of chalamet s cracking voice in this trailer i think he lacks the gravity for it but is otherwise okay i like the chanting though and its nice to see that momoa is back there s also 2026 by lkeke35 in fantasy games lists leave a comment okay i have a confession to make i don t play horror games i know right don t get me wrong i actually like horror games but only in a theoretical sort of way i will watch the cut scenes look at books about the artwork and watch videos about all the worldbuilding lore and analysis but i don t find playing horror games relaxing and i think it s for the same reason that i love horror movies i try to keep up on the latest ones so i can watch analysis videos right now i m interested in little nightmares fallout still wakes the deep and scorn when i do play games which i admit isn t very often because i m too busy they are usually fun colorful sometimes kids games i will play silly and funny indie games like pikmin hohokum and untitled goose game or mindful melancholy games like gris and journey but i approach horror games much the same way i watch horror movies they re fascinating to watch but a lot less fascinating if i have to participate in the horror maybe once a year i will sometimes play a fighting game like batman arkham tekken or ghost of tsushima the last time i played a horror game was waaay back in the day and it was called dino crisis where you are wandering in some dark places with guns and hungry dinosaurs jump out of nowhere to chase you around and i didn t enjoy that at all which is how i found out that horror games are maybe not for me we also need to take into account that horror video games that looked like that didn t really exist when i was a child so i was a grown woman when i did this but here in no particular order is a list of games not necessarily horror that i m definitely interested in because i think they look great but that doesn t mean i will play them the midnight walk this looks like fun with just a little bit of scary at least to my eyes because once again you re getting chased by monsters and it kind of reminds me of a cross between pinocchio and the animated movie 9 the monsters aren t too bad really i can maybe see myself playing this but i do sort of draw the line at things jumping out of the darkness to chase and or eat me become i actually love this this is one of the silliest little games i ve heard of in the past year and i would have loved to have been in the room when this idea was discussed yes of course it is from a male point of view but i think the sequel if there is one should be from a female point of view and be just as happily stupid i laughed a lot at this one but i don t think i could get through even one walkthrough because i d be too busy laughing too busy laughing is the reason i can t seem to finish untitled goose game divinity yeah this is probably not for me although i would definitely read about the lore and pick up an art book about the worldbuilding because it looks absolutely terrifying and i m deeply curious about what the hell is going on apparently its part of a long running franchise and related to the same worldbuilding as baldur s gate i watched a reaction video to this trailer and i had to turn that off because i did not understand why everyone in it was screaming at the top of their lungs and falling on the floor i m gonna take a wild guess and say maybe they were excited a word of caution before watching this trailer it is a very graphic depiction of body horror forest3 i got nothing i had no idea what to think of this trailer which seems fun at first but is a lot less so by the end with weird creatures jumping out at you in a dark forest this is the same reason i didn t think dino crisis was especially fun so yeah my blood pressure is high enough no thank you but hey the visuals what i could see of them look awesome control resonant i really like this one it s got superpowers and monsters and seems to mostly take place during the day i also love the visuals and the three dimensionality of the game play that can take place along any axis as with so many of these games the visuals are stunning and i m interested in whatever story is being told here i like it i don t however have a ps5 i got a 4 so i m unlikely to get to play this fascinating looking game unless i get a 5 and i wasn t planning on buying one reanimal i m a fan of the little nightmares universe on which this game seems to be based or at least made by the same creators i like the visuals and the monsters look terrifying and awesome i want to know more about this world but not through playing it i mostly learned about little nightmares through lore and analysis videos and that was pretty enjoyable for me i even read some of the graphic novels and art books related to it so i ll be looking for any books and videos related to this game big walk this the kind of game i d definitely play cute colorful cuddly little blobby creatures cooperative play and it s kind of like pikmin which is also a favorite of mine it s just these little guys walking around while solving whatever little problems they run into together there are no monsters jumping out and chasing them there is a little bit of that in pikmin but i can handle that and there s not really any lore you need to know to learn to play it this is more like a cooperative puzzle solving game and i always find those relaxing it s also one of those games that seems really simple but will be hard to play if you don t like movies trailers leave a comment i m late i m late i should have put this out friday for your weekend amusement so far these are all trailers i actually like which doesn t mean that i m going to see these in the theaters i haven t made the final decision on that list of movies yet but when i do i ll let y all know here in no particular order are the trailers that i think are the most interesting to me this week hamlet i think i talked about this movie before but never mind it s still looks good i think i said i loved hamlet remakes but my overall favorite remake still remains mel gibson s version i dislike mel gibson but there s nothing wrong with his version of hamlet that said riz ahmed is always a win i will pretty much watch whatever he stars in and i like this modernized british southeast asian version of the story the backrooms i m totally hyped for this i don t know if i will get to see this in a theater but i want to and if at all possible i will i m a backrooms junkie my go to youtube channel for backrooms information isnt just kane pixels the teenager who invented it but a channel called broogli broogli is very funny and mostly talks about the various entities and details of the backrooms if you guys want i ll write up a list of some of my favorite entities and locations give a 101 for those who ve never heard of any of this or you can just visit the website and choose your own the yeti this is something i definitely want to see because it reminds me of the old school creature features of my teenage years it s giving me indiana jones the mummy vibes and i m always ready for that it looks pretty straightforward and uncomplicated plot wise and sometimes that s a good thing in a horror movie toy story 5 at first i thought this was one of those fake trailers that are so prevalent on youtube but it turns out it s actually a real movie i thought we were finished after the last film hell i thought we were done after the third movie but they keep coming up with engaging stories and we keep watching them i have no objection to it but i ll only see this in the theater if one of nieces asks me normal i am not sure what to think about this it looks engaging and kind of funny i keep watching bob odenkirk s stuff and kinda liking yet not liking it mostly on the strength of bob s long suffering acting style which he does better than any other actor in hollywood and still watching more of his stuff anyway he looks nothing at all like an action hero and he can actually act but keeps getting these hyperviolent 80s action hero roles and i think that s probably why i like him so much is god is i like the premise for this movie and a lot of my favorite black actresses are in this cast like janelle monet erika alexander and viveca fox i can t figure out if there is a supernatural angle to this or not and have no intention of seeing this in a theater but it looks really interesting lee cronin s the mummy here is a full trailer for this movie and i have to admit it does look pretty scary it certainly looks more frightening than that tom cruise version that i fell asleep on that said cronin directed one of the scariest evil dead evil dead rise movies i ve seen in years so i trust him with this one mortal kombat 2 this looks pretty cheesy but it also looks like more...
