3 the board support package is usually provided by the soc manufacturer such as qualcomm and may be modified by the oem software edit third party hardware developers who wish to support a given embedded operating system must create a bsp that allows that embedded operating system to run on their platform in most cases the embedded operating system image containing the bsp software license and hardware support is bundled together by the hardware vendor bsps are typically customizable allowing the user to specify which drivers and routines should be included in the build based on their
