kh1 the way sora and riku do and idk i just can t agree for one we do not know how conscious she was while she was in sora s heart we can assume she was about as aware as roxas and ven both of which even had a direct effect on how sora acted and perceived the world around him that means she saw what sora went through in hollow bastion even before she woke up she saw what riku did and she felt how that affected sora who definitely has some repressed feelings about kh1 too you don t think it would be traumatic to be trapped in someone else s body to see your best friends fighting over you knowing you could ve done more to be there for both of them before everything happened if only you weren t so afraid of change and then there s the most traumatic part kairi watched helplessly as sora stabbed himself to free her and though she was returned to her body shortly afterwards she was too late to save him he died right in her arms from kairi s perspective she lost both of her best friends possibly forever in just one day she watched them disappear and there was nothing she could do to stop it helplessness is such a core part of kairi s character even as early as kh1 there is no way in hell she doesn t have some sort of trauma from that she wasn t safe from it in sora s heart she had a front row seat to all of it and all she could do was show him her memories and hope he would
