to facebook share to pinterest tuesday january 1 2013 wip parapluie hello and happy new year i m popping in to wish you all a very happy and healthy 2013 i hope you are and have been enjoying a wonderful holiday my family and i sure have it s been busy but so enjoyable today i m spending a very relaxed lazy day at home with my boys i m even casting for a new sweater for myself it s been a long time since i ve been able to work on a pattern that wasn t my own and a really long time since i ve knit something for myself i feel in love with parapluie designed by the lovely hilary smith callis when i first saw it in twist collective fall 2012 i m very excited to finally be casting on for it i m even using stash yarn that i ve had like forever gotta love that so how are you spending december 21 2012 fo owl puffs ever since i saw this version of these cute owl puffs i ve wanted to make one and i m glad i finally did this was a fun little 1 5 evening project with wz he had fun sitting next to me watching me knit and create this as we cuddled on the couch in the evenings watching christmas cartoons this lil owl affectionately named smorf was made just for wz to hang on the tree and play with i do see more in the future though i think these would make great toppers for gifts all year long today i ve been winding down with work for the holidays and won t be back to post until a bit later i wanted to wish you all a very merry christmas or if you prefer a very happy holiday i so very much appreciate you and all your support as i grow my knitterella and jill zielinski with live tv i got up at 3 am yesterday morning and along with liberty from great lakes bay moms we made the trip to clio mi to be ready for our 2 2 minute ish live segments with brittany shannon of my local tv25 morning news liberty and i i was so thankful to make it through with no major screw ups really i was pretty darn nervous a huge thanks to everyone on set and to liberty for making me feel welcomed and relaxed it was a lot of fun close up shot love that head form that liberty brought for me i want one the below picture is a photo of me on set the segment was about bundling up yourself and your kids for the cold weather a more detailed article from glbm can be found here in the segment i explained that the patterns on my left were my original knitterella pattern designs and since i have yet to add children s patterns to my line the hats on the right of me were made from free patterns found online a list and links to each sample knit that i had on set can be found here happy to here i m hoping that a video of the segment will get posted online and when if it does i will for sure post it for you to watch thank you to everyone that wished me well and to break a leg
