environment conducive to the development of vape derangement syndrome vds vds is characterized by distorted views and exaggerated beliefs about vaping impacting both institutions and individuals exposed to such biases this paper explores the implications of vds on public health efforts and offers recommendations for addressing the crisis introduction bias in media public health and research has been shown to cause institutional distrust even in low doses this distrust can gradually shift public perception fostering skepticism misinformation and confusion these subtle changes in perception may eventually contribute to the development of vape derangement syndrome vds a condition that has begun to significantly affect both public health discourse and policy this paper analyzes
