of you simon says stamp may 2026 card kit good morning i m dropping by to share another card using the newest may 2026 simon says stamp card kit long stem florals this month s kit has some fun florals with a modern feel and some elements with a vintage twist such a fun combo the included stamp set by the same name has a fun set of coordinating stencils included for some creative fun there are some rub ons pattern paper embossing glaze colors may vary distress crayon fun frames and floral embellishments and that s all not to mention the cardstock metallic kraft stock and more and there is also a coordinating die available that is live in the store now as well the monthly card kit has even more perks now when you sign up for the subscription service there is a video here you can watch to learn more this card really features the amazing pattern papers and some other little touches to bump them up a notch i trimmed the one pattern piece down to size for my cardfront all i can think of was those little drawers that i used to hunt through at the library when i was a kid to find a book anyone else know what i m talking about ah the memories does that make me old anyway back to the card haha i used some text paper for the background another nod to the library idea a bit of may arts ivory faux silk ribbon tied in a fluffy bow wrapped around that panel for extra details i used a couple of the heirloom roses embellishments in the kit a sentiment from the long stem florals stamp set in the kit die cut with the separately available coordinating die and a few dazzling gems in gold as stamp good morning i ve got a bright and fun birthday card to share today with a darling newer set from simon says stamp i mean seriously how adorable are these cute little critters with building blocks i just had to use these bright fun colors and i think this is the perfect birthday card for one of the special kids in your life i started with the sweet let s connect set and since i didn t want to color for these cards i stamped each image on a different color of cardstock and heat embossed in white then die cut them with the coordinating die i used lipstick orange peel sunshine green leaf and island blue cardstocks i also die cut some small white circles from basic circles to mount each image on to create a coordinating background i used some coordinating ink colors and the leftover ink on my brushes from another card i ll be sharing that one soon to blend some soft ink color on a panel of watercolor cardstock i misted it lightly with water to soften and give a watercolor background effect once that dried i also added some black splatter while all of that dried i heat embossed a sentiment on black cardstock by stamping with white pigment ink and embossing subscription service there is a video here you can watch to learn more i love how this card turned out using lots of goodies from the kit i fell in love with those metal frames and knew i wanted to use those they felt like a perfect fit for some of the pattern paper in the kit so i chose a few frames and glued some sections of the pattern paper behind the frames while those dried i swiped an embossing ink pad on some white cardstock and then sprinkled on some of the abandoned coral embossing glaze in my kit you might get a different color of that this provided the perfect sketchy color background for those frames popped up on thin foam adhesive for a touch of dimension i added a bit of pattern paper behind that then mounted on a cardbase created with the ivory cardstock in the kit i stamped a few sentiments from the stamp set and die cut them with the separately available coordinating dies then mounted all the frames and sentiments with foam adhesive finished off with a few pearl i m sharing a card that was inspired by one of my old cards from years ago that popped up on my memories it used product from a company that closed down several years ago you can check out the old card here if you want to see this version i decided not to add coloring to the images even though the original one did have some simple coloring but since i ve enjoyed cards the past few days with uncolored focal images and bright colorful backgrounds i decided to stick with that and these adorable turtles from a newer simon says stamp set were just so sweet on their own i did add some soft pink to their cheeks but it doesn t really show up as much in photos as it does in real life i started off by cutting 3 windows in a panel of white cardstock using basic circles dies i then die cut one size larger circle of audrey honey and green apple cardstock adhered those in place behind the windows on my cardbase then popped the front up with foam adhesive for some dimension i stamped the turtles from let s shellebrate in nocturne ink then heat embossed with clear embossing powder to help them pop a bit extra i added a bit of pink copic marker to each cheek blending out with a colorless blender and added some dots with a white gel pen then added them with foam adhesive to each circle sentiment was stamped with white pigment ink then heat embossed with white embossing powder cuties simon says stamp good morning today i m moving on from birthday cards but you might notice a similarity between yesterday s and today s cards these cards also feature a plain focal image with background color to make them pop the main difference is that these use watercolor instead of ink blending to add the color and how sweet is this stamp set from simon says stamp i started off by stamping my main images from a mother s love on panels of watercolor paper i pulled out my altenew watercolors and carefully added a wash of color around the images doing my best not to get any color on the images but not worrying about perfection either i faded it out to a soft edge and added a bit of shading and blending of extra colors i masked out the images by setting the clear stamp over the top a quick easy trick and mixed some sparkle gold paste with a bit of water to add some soft splatters to the background while that all dried i stamped and heat embossed the sentiments stamping in white pigment ink then embossing with white powder for a nice crisp image on the black cardstock those were added with tiny bits of foam adhesive strips for just a touch of dimension here is a closer labels altenew watercolor heat embossing simon says stamp sparkle paste thursday april 9 2026 cute wild critter birthday cards simon says stamp good morning i m back with more birthday cards this time i wanted some fun kid ones that would work for girls or boys equally and i think these came out so cute i paired up a couple different sets from simon says stamp to put these together i used a stencil that was designed to coordinate with a different set and used it an completely different way i started off with the mod plants blocks stencil set while it is designed to coordinate with another stamp set it also is versatile enough to be fun on it s own it is basically two stencils that are close to squares but slightly elongated to rectangles and are slightly different sizes by stenciling first the larger stencil in each lighter shade in my ink pairings then stenciling the smaller one over the top i got a fun framed background effect i used peachy and grapefruit butter and zest jade and eucalyptus and seafoam and surf next i pulled out wild birthday and at first i stamped the images directly over the inked backgrounds added sentiments and a few little additional small images on all except the monkey one i ended up deciding that i wanted them to pop a bit more so i stamped them again and die cut then popped those images up with foam the monkey one is unique because it die cuts without including the background so it gave it even more dimension to finish i added little colored bows to each one using a new set of prima spools of yarn that i picked up recently gluing them onto
