without costing lives because we use them so often that makes sense when you realize there were about 6 6 million violent crimes in 2024 we stopped millions of them we need perspective we have about lives rather than saving lives if all you care about is a press release then new regulations are easy if you want to save lives then it is really hard and we use a gun to save lives about eight times
