the condensation line bust in my ceiling yes the mess that came from water pouring from my ceiling into my living room created a big mess which also meant that there were a lot of things i had to temporarily move and the mess to clean up did make life a little inconvenient then it took almost a month for the ceiling to be replaced yet as i have been going through some things i m finding things that i had forgotten about and i m being reminded that no matter what is happening or has happened god has been with me through it all and you know he s not complained to me once about what it cost him i don t know if you can read what i had written in the picture above so if you can t let me know as i read the words i had written years ago i m reminded of how much god loves you and me i will strong i know that to tell a person that they are strong is a compliment just like telling a person that they are smart or beautiful is a compliment we know when you are telling us these things that you are being kind and that you even mean what you are saying these things are even true but to the person hearing what you are saying they may not want to hear it at that moment for the one you are telling them that they are beautiful they may have just been rejected and not feeling beautiful to the one you have just told that they are smart and intelligent they may have just learned that they were deceived to the person you have told them that they are strong may not feel like they are strong because they have just suffered something painful and are feeling to weak to do anything at the moment these are just examples there are many other reasons that it could be for me there is one reason that i don t like it when someone tells me that i am strong is that i am tired tired of struggling through this life and having a fight waiting for me around every corner surviving one thing after the next just to exist and then feeling like i have accomplished nothing more than surviving i have no idea of what specific purpose god created me for that the enemy has thrown everything he could at me to destroy me but thanks to god i am still here and i still believe without a doubt that he has been with me through it all and he will never abandon me this however does not make me feel strong at least not as the world sees strength telling me that i am strong just reminds of what ever battle i just survived also the only reason i did survive is because god got me through it any strength i have is because he has given it to me i also know that his word tells me that in my weakness he makes me strong i just want to rest and find peace and these are things that i can only get from him so please don t tell me that i am strong but how strong god s love is for me share this faith may 24 2026 391 words 31 comments an old note i know i have not posted in a while but i have some good news my ceiling finally was repaired and looks good i m now able to bring things back into my living room i m taking the opportunity to go through some of my things as i do this i came across this old note that i had written years ago and thought i d share it god is who he is the great i am he does not change he is the same yesterday today and tomorrow the only bending he does is to bend down to pick us up he doesn t break his own commands nor does he change them the ones who try to change what god has instructed us to do is man and the enemy we say that things are okay and we have grace and that god understands but we try to fit his word to how we want to live when we should be allowing his word to transform us to his will think about how the serpent and how he first deceived eve he convinced her that she would not die if she ate the fruit now she didn t drop dead on the spot but through her disobedience she did bring death into her life she had thought that eating the fruit would not harm her because she listened to the wrong voice now i wonder how many things we believe that do not hurt anyone because we re listening to the wrong voice in scripture we are told to study for ourselves to find what is true and we are to test things i am glad that i came across m not able to go to church so i m glad that me and a couple of neighbors started a bible study here we had our first study friday afternoon at my next door neighbors apartment and we are studying choose joy by kay warren it s so nice to have fellowship with other believers again this is not the funny part i came back to my apartment after the study heated up a cup of coffee and called my friend and old pastor back i had just sat down and called her when i heard a noise that made me think that the blades of my ceiling fan were off balance so i looked up and this is what i saw so i got up turned off the ceiling fan and ac then called our apartment manager while i had to move my other chair and futon since the water was leaking or should i say flowing from my ceiling were getting soaked i then placed my ice chest beneath the leak to catch the water coming from my ceiling the manager told me that they would call the ac repair man but doubted that they would be available since it was a holiday weekend i was able to get a couple of buckets from a neighbor and another neighbor and her son helped with what i called the bucket brigade then she made me laugh when she said it s supposed to rain outside not inside thank god the repair man showed up and was able to patch the leak in the condensation line and said he would suggest to our apartment manager to allow him to replace the whole line and have it drain into the bathroom plumbing instead of the line going across my living room and kitchen since this is the second time that they have had to repair it in a year last year it was closer to my kitchen so you re probably wondering what was there to laugh about there s nothing funny about water leaking from my ceiling the mess that it made and the clean up especially since i m disabled and basic chores are both difficult and painful for me well here s my answer to that first i asked the question if anyone ever felt like they were under constant attack and then i finally have people to fellowship with and we are studying to choose joy and then my ceiling sprung a leak yes it was a headache and my pain levels are even higher than what they normally are and it will also be a couple of weeks before the ceiling can be repaired since they have to wait for the water damage to dry yet for once help came quickly and i was able to apply the scripture about counting it all joy when you face various trials and tribulations then for the first time in many years i got more than 2 to 4 hours of sleep but slept for 7 straight hours then the neighbor who helped with getting the water out of my apartment washed my blankets and towels that had gotten wet because of the leak and helped with another load of laundry that she didn t have to do and would not let me give her money for helping then the lady who works on the flower beds here at the apartment complex brought me a new porch chair that has a high back to make it more comfortable for me to be
