i think fran is actually pretty quick to concede in an argument she has strong beliefs and can be stubborn but if you give her an actual good reason she ll adjust her opinion she s not arguing for the sake of it you know she s arguing to communicate and if it turns out you re right and she s wrong then it still served its purposes houseofpsychoticwomn what is something that was permanently taken from the oc either by time fate or another person i confess the first thing that came to mind was steve and the relationship they could have had since they end up losing each other no matter the universe arguably however i think to some extent her dreams were taken from her it feels less tragic because she was happy in her new life and wouldn t give it up for anything but she did have dreams to become famous as an actor before walter was born and had to give that up vacillator what is the oc s greatest appeal as a potential romantic partner compared to feliks this question was a lot easier to answer because i think fran is a lot more appealing as a partner she s a very fun and exciting person but also very empathetic it s best shown in her initial relationship with steve since she approached him specifically because she could see hew as unhappy when no one else could as someone with big dreams and ideas so she becomes equally supportive of any of her partner s ideas as well intro what traits or habits has the oc picked up from their families walter was raised pretty much entirely by his mom so he s very much fran s little baby clone when it comes to traits and habits and also appearance build wise he s similar to pre serum steve but everything else came from fran there s what i ve talked a lot about which is that fran informed a lot of his value and morals but i also think he inherited a lot of her mannerisms for example fran is a very expressive talker and while walter is usually less so it definitely comes out when he s excited or upset fran is also a nervous laugher smiler which walter absolutely picked up on there s also probably a lot of facial expressions that fran pulls bc she is crazy expressive that walter has just naturally picked up because that s just how people emote to him there isn t as much with steve because if it isn t obvious steve wasn t around much when walter was growing up so that means he didn t get a chance to influence who walter is as a person however walter s tendency to get into fights definitely came from steve admittedly not because steve actually taught him that but because it came from the powers he inherited from steve see walter is very aware that 1 he is a lot stronger than the average person and 2 most people don t notice that instead just seeing some punk with a big mouth so he s developed a very take a hit for someone who can t attitude quick to jump in whenever he sees someone being harassed because he knows he can draw attention to himself and deal with it very steve of him even if he doesn t know it american teenager what is the oc s relationship with their country of origin are they patriotic or more critical not gonna lie this made me laugh at first because walter s opinion on america is very obvious to me so my immediate thought was a sarcastic guess but uh walter is very critical of the united states he came into adulthood during the 60s and was very influenced by the skepticism towards the us during that era it s continued throughout the rest of his life a house in nebraska what was the one who got away for the oc whether that be a person a thing or an opportunity i can t think of any one thing but i definitely think walter has spent much of his life having to give up relationships or opportunities to keep himself safe because you can t stay in one place for a long time before people realize you aren t aging right you know so he regularly had to give up jobs even though he had a lot of potential there and in the pre internet era he regularly lost great friendships because he just couldn t stay in contact with them after leaving western nights would the oc cross legal or moral lines for someone they loved how far would they go i find this funny because with walter legal lines and moral lines are absolutely not at all the same thing sure some times the law and morality line up in which case go ahead and follow both but walter is also very aware that laws can be used for corrupt purposes keep in mind this guy was born in 1943 he has a life times worth of seeing the laws used not to protect people but repress them so while he has strong morals and wouldn t cross those lines for much aside perhaps straight up necessity he will just 100 break the law if he thinks those laws are wrong i mean he already has he s been arrested multiple times for things like draft dodging protesting and sometimes just straight up punching a cop family tree what were the oc s parents like in what ways did the way they were raised shape them well i think we all know what steve is like and also he wasn t around for walter s childhood so i won t get into that fran raised walter as a single mother and as i ve mentioned multiple times influenced walter a lot she had a big personality very expressive and a lover of acting and raised walter in the exact same way she taught him to always stand up for himself and others and to not be ashamed of himself no matter what people said to him there wasn t a lot of stability in walter s childhood because his slowed aging meant they couldn t stay in one place too long lest someone find out something is up with him which is probably why he was so close with his mom in the first place because fran was the only thing consistent in his life and the one always fighting to take care of him this definitely influenced walter s belief in hardwork and taking care of yourself and others it taught him to value people more than things or places hard times how does the oc feel about the things they ve inherited from their family on fran s side walter is very proud of everything he s inherited from her he s very much a mama s boy on steve s side though walter s feelings are a lot more complex this is because the main thing walter inherited from his dad was his superpowers which have both benefitted him and caused a lot of problems the slowed aging severely altered his life and the fact he technically carries the super soldier serum in his blood was a danger that always loomed over him however walter also has to admit that they allowed him to help a lot of people throughfare where s the farthest the oc has ever been from home where would they like to visit someday tbh despite the amount he s traveled growing up i don t think he s ever been far from home before his work with the avengers this is because when walter was growing up when they moved it was from one home to another they weren t really vacationing you know where ever he was living at a time he didn t really go many other places of course that all changes when he joins the avengers and suddenly he s going out of the country regularly on missions there s not really a place that he d like to visit so much as people his mother s extended family fran was the daughter of german immigrants and pre war most of them still lived there though by modern day they re just kinda throughout northern europe of course he s never really done so because it d just be kinda awkward to explain how they re related if that makes sense gibson girl does the oc have a healthy relationship with attention do they crave it even negative attention i d say walter has a pretty average relationship with attention he doesn t really crave attention himself but growing up with fran he was taught from a young age that sometimes you need to draw attention to get something done ptolemaea what is the most terrified the oc has ever been have they ever feared for their lives definitely a tie between the final fight during avengers and the events of infinity war and endgame both times because they involve conflicts way beyond his comfort zone like with avengers it was his first time ever doing superhero work and discovering aliens even existed he definitely spent the entire fight scared shitless even if it didn t settle in until after during the fight he was locked in 100 but he definitely spent the next day just like laying on the couch staring at the wall wondering what the fuck just happened now that i think about it infinity war was probably below the other two because i don t think walter really realized they were going to lose until the very end endgame was definitely freaky though just because of how new and easily screw up able the whole thing is their time travel could easily fail or worse make everything way worse then past thanos shows up again and it s like oh shit the guy we lost against last time is back again but no actually i definitely think avengers is taking the cake because at least afterwards he can think
