every article on this blog at the time of writing features them in one way or another this is also true for cards in video games i like experimenting with games that use cards as their main mechanic and will happily learn a completely different system if i find it engaging enough from faeria to slay the spire there are various games to talk about that use cardboard in a digital environment as their main gameplay feature the first card based game i want to talk about though is less well known than the examples i just mentioned blood card while the game is clearly inspired by the widely popular slay the spire and is therefore also a game of the card battler rogue like genres it is unique enough to stand out and is very playable in its own right there are some flaws that i will mention in this article and i am inevitably going to mention its inspiration in form of slay the spire since certain aspects are taking their inspiration from there but i also want to try to convey known as the orzhov syndicate i really am a sucker for religious themes in pop culture so a church that supposedly helps the people but in reality is a profit driven and evil cooperation seemed really appealing to me it also played with a tribal that i really liked spirits unlike pretty much all of the player base i really liked kamigawa and will go out of my way in deckbuilding to see if there is less thrilled i do not care about more giant berserker dwarf or angel tribal support and most of the cards i have seen so far in spoilers leave lots to be desired however this opinion is entirely subjective and if you are excited for viking thematic magic cards i will not be a party pooper and spoil the fun that being said there was one card that i seemed to have judged too quickly the phoenix of yugioh sometimes even entire types lack really good generic cards while others get unreasonably bloated isn t that right dragon and warrior type well aside from pyro struggling to get good cards which is thankfully changing reptile players basically sitting on piles of snake rain waiting for the really good cards to come insects still struggling to become good after receiving a few new cards and sea serpent nowadays just being mushed into the aqua and fish support there is also thunder the thunder type really has three archetypes to talk about thunder dragon the newest and without debate strongest thunder archetype at the moment hunder which is pretty much just a summon engine and watt small electric animals that try to aggro the opponent to death despite lacking the stats to actually do so the last one is also exactly the one archetype we will be talking about in this article so let us see if there is something to work with in the ranks of those electrifying beasts continue
