dorks out i can t deny that the thought to just officially stop blogging has crossed my mind in the last weeks however i am not ready to let it go yet instead i have been thinking about a format change what is clear is that i don t have as much time available anymore to do lengthy posts with lots of different items and urls this is especially true for fashion posts something wich i kind of slipped into in the recent past so i decided to go back to my original vision and show silly weird and wonderful avatars and toys i possibly will not credit every single thing of my outfit anymore but if you are interested in something please just leave a comment and i will let you know where i got it from i am also going to try and post quick sreenshots of things that i come across and like instead of trying to build a whole outfit around them for example i loved these flowery shoes at ingenue slurl enough introduction i would like to introduce the real star of this posting to you the alien bub avatar by madcow cosmos slurl if you have been following this blog for a longer time you will know that i love aliens and bubbles so i got very excited when i saw this avatar which promised to combine both in one and i was not disappointed not only is it cute and colourful in an asymmetrical outer space way it also comes with a hud called to the skies when you click on it once the alien blows a big bubble 33333 but the really amazing thing happens when you click the hud a second time the bubble becomes huuuge and the alien starts to fly up high into the sky click another time and the bubble bursts i might have spent some time making my alien fly up to the sky and plummet back to earth you can buy this and lots of other wonderful avatars at madcow s primordial soup and sandwich shop slurl because it can be a bit difficult to find i took a picture of the vendors to make it easier for you have a great sunday in your sl and rl and even better if it involves bubbles of some kind atomic second life the painted glasstower who let the dorks out even though rl is still winning over sl at the moment i wouldn t want to miss my favourite virtual event burning life or burn2 as it is called now it seems a lot smaller this year which in the first moment made me feel a bit sad but then i realised that this means i will definitely get to see everything in the short time frame which was a relief in a way i haven t forgot the marathons in the last years when i was flying around with speed of light and trying not to miss anything i started off with a small tour today but already found one of my favourite builds ever concrete soldiers by liz gealach slurl her build is an interpretation of a poem which you receive on a notecard and features a very grey and bleak street silhouette with a lonely sheep you must stay at this build for several minutes because a sun will rise and transform the whole scenery into a small paradise of colours first i didn t realise what was going on and it confused me a lot that one second the butterflies were there and the next one they were gone but after i figured out what was going on i stood for a while and watched the scenery change what a fantastic idea i also really liked pop atomic by mikaty slade and emily lang slurl from the notecard the atomic bomb changed the japanese people forever 8 bit console games are a loving part of japan s pop culture nowadays i felt that both the atomic bomb and the 8 bit consoles are powerful symbols of 20th century s civilization at least as experienced by the japanese people and so pop atomic was born lastly i thought that the painted glasstower by betty tureaud slurl was both a beautiful and an impressive installation the glass panels change over time and i think there is also an elevator box driving through the middle of the tower to the top i entered the hole from the top and then landed on top of said box and drove a bit back up with it hopefully i will be able to tags carousel funfair ride second life zombiepopcorn or bust i have a strange fascination for funfairs and theme parks in sl they radiate a special kind of magic reminding me of the excitement we felt as children when our parents took us out for a day of fun rides and queues i am definitely more adventurous in sl than in rl where i am too scared to ride most huge rollercoasters or other wild rides another advantage of living some things through your avatar in a virtual world my favourite rides at a funfair are the carousels be it chairoplanes or the old fashioned ones with horses and carriages which mode of carousel transportation do you go for when you have the choice do you prefer to ride in mary poppins style on horses or swans or drive in carriages busses or fire engines i chose the horse this time but my real favourite always was the little sphere that you could spin around manually giving you a dizzying carousel ride teleport to the funfair at zombiepopcorn or bust here leave a
