more this bachelor thesis deals with the preparedness and equipment of members of the police of the czech republic in the central bohemian region for providing first aid during routine interventions and extraordinary events the theoretical part defines the position of the police of the czech republic within the integrated rescue system the system of professional training for police officers and the basic principles of first aid provision in police practice the practical part is based on a questionnaire survey conducted among members of the police of the czech republic in the central bohemian region the research focuses on the level of professional knowledge and practical skills of police officers their experience with providing first aid the availability of medical equipment and the evaluation of the professional training system the results of the thesis show that police officers possess good basic knowledge and skills in the field of first aid especially in cardiopulmonary resuscitation and the control of severe bleeding at the same time certain shortcomings were identified in the areas of practical training simulation based exercises and the uniformity of medical equipment the research also demonstrated a positive evaluation of cooperation among the components of the integrated rescue system and highlighted the importance of regular joint exercises the thesis also takes into account the fact that providing first aid represents only one of many professional competencies required of police officers whose primary task is to ensure public safety and maintain public order the conclusion of the thesis formulates recommendations aimed at improving practical training expanding joint exercises of integrated rescue system units and gradually unifying the also compares these devices with the possibilities for their use during emergencies in the practical part the comparison is followed by the deployment of devices in areas with varying population sizes age these platforms have become a dominant tool for the distribution of crisis messages offering a unique opportunity for early public warning due to their speed and massive reach however social media also represents a high risk environment for the spread of disinformation and misinformation which can fundamentally disrupt crisis management processes the main objective of the thesis is to identify key factors that determine the nature of crisis messages and their influence on risk perception and the subsequent behavior of recipients the theoretical part of the thesis integrates crisis management concepts with psychological models of information processing specifically the heuristic systematic model hsm construal level theory clt and protection motivation theory pmt attention is also paid to the social amplification of risk framework sarf the phenomenon of infodemics and the issue of crisis fatigue this framework serves to understand how social media architecture source credibility and the existence of information voids shape collective consciousness during extraordinary events the practical part is based on a content and comparative analysis of the crisis communication of five distinct events in the czech republic the south moravia tornado 2021 the floods 2024 the covid 19 pandemic the shooting at the faculty of arts of charles university 2023 and the ecological disaster on the bečva river 2020 the analysis focuses on official posts by the integrated rescue system irs and state institutions on facebook and x platforms to assess the effectiveness of their communication strategies the research findings confirm the critical importance of speed in filling information voids the results show that a timely digital response in events such as the tornado or an active shooter attack effectively eliminates the emergence of rumors and stabilizes public emotions conversely the bečva case demonstrated that a deficit in transparency and information gaps leads to an irreversible erosion of trust in official authorities the analysis further identified data visualization as a key element for reducing the psychological distance of a threat for the general public the thesis contributes to a deeper understanding of the relationship between crisis communication and the digital habits of the population the presented conclusions and proposed recommendations can serve as a practical basis for streamlining the communication strategies of the integrated rescue system and state administration authorities with the aim of strengthening social
