wounded veterans our organization is working daily to assist our u s military service connected fallen and or disabled veterans and their families through hardships they face after losing their loved one or after their loved one is unable to provide financially as they once did prior to their disability our programs provide emotional educational financial health well being morale and children s enrichment assistance we have helped over 2 000 children and hundreds of military veterans affected by the conflicts in the first gulf war afghanistan and iraq with a little over 6 700 000 00 our families many who have been with our organization and part of our family for over 22 years are not just an applicant to us we build strong caring and loving bonds with each member and follow our widows children and veterans alike through the years and continue to be there for them we have provided crisis intervention and assistance to veterans struggling with emotional issues associated with the after effects of war to widows and their children who struggle daily with grief associated with their loss and celebrate with them during the happy and fulfilling times in their lives we believe that their service and sacrifices made should never be taken for granted and just as they have become our heroes we wish to continue to help them get past their obstacles give them praise and help guide them through their darkest times our motto is giving a gift back to those who serve and we want them to continue to count on us this is what others have called our ministry it is our passion and of fallujah reunion we supported the annual battle of fallujah reunion s for six years and grew to know and care for each marine and his family the reunions are where these brave warriors gather together regroup heal and learn each other s methods of coping with the wounds they hold within these photos depict the strength valor and determination of united states marines who lost brothers during the 2nd battle of fallujah the 2016 battle of fallujah reunion was held in nh which is the home of 1 3 fallujah marine timothy gibson who passed away on january 26 2005 along with 29 other marines and one sailor the ch53 e helicopter carrying him and his brother s crashed during a sandstorm in rutbah iraq killing all aboard gibson was only 23 years old and was a 2000 graduate from merrimack high school where he was a star quarterback and had played baseball he enlisted in the us marine corps in april 2001 the death toll that day was the largest for a u s aircraft crash in iraq since u s forces first went in in march 2003 like most of the those lost in the crash tim gibson had been deployed from the marine corps base at kaneohe bay hawaii his brother s came from all across the states remembering and honoring him and also participated in a softball tournament that raised scholarships in his name we are so excited and honored to announce that our founder rebecca campbell was chosen by tiaa as 1 of the 100 difference makers out of hundreds of people making a difference in the lives of others differencemaker100 tiaa awarding 1 million for a better tomorrow said we re excited to honor 100 people making a difference and help them continue the impactful work they re doing explore the map to see stories from around the country this grant will allow us to help four to
