october 2015 val right now skip to content val right now month october 2015 i ve seen a ghost published on october 30 2015 october 31 2015 by valrightnow leave a comment ok reblogging from scotty73 again today yes he is my son and i think he is a great writer but this is compelling to me on many levels what do you think of the subject what do you believe happens to our spirit are we taught not to believe in such things i hope you read and comment happy halloween too words no one is reading i saw a ghost once at least i think i did i wasn t a small child it wasn t dark i wasn t tip toeing around some creepy place i was thirteen years old and was watching tv with a friend after school one sunny afternoon we saw this thing looked at each other then bolted out the front door and sprinted the block to his house without saying a word this wasn t the first or last time i experienced what could be considered paranormal activity i used to experience a lot of things like this when i was a young child i had an imaginary friend named bobby my parents say we had deep conversations and played together daily i realize this is normal for children in fact my son had an imaginary friend too oddly though my son s friend was also named bobby lights in my bedroom were switched not flickered view original post 890 more words share this email a link to a friend opens in new window email like blog from a younger blogger and in light of the season words no one is reading the snow was really coming down making things even more stressful moving is horrible in any weather but in the middle of january during one of the worst winters on record it was downright dreadful no one should be driving in these conditions but patti was on a mission luckily it was just about over the moving company had finished the day before and patti had just gotten back no had just gotten home she happily reminded herself with the last load of small stuff not one to dilly dally she had spent much of the morning and all afternoon arranging the living room and bedroom furniture making up beds and organizing the kitchen well mostly she had also treated herself to several glasses of a very nice red wine sort of a celebration even if only by herself now she had returned with a backseat and trunk full view original post 1 854 more words share this email a link to a friend opens in new window email like for great sunset shots perhaps we just don t like to get up early but we can find great sunrise shoots too thanks to my hubby the early bird at our house for calling out the beautiful sunrise yesterday these are just quick shots through the windows but what glory the colors of sunrise or sunset for that matter change so quickly it was click or forget the trees may be getting bare but the sky held all the beauty on this morning these are through our guest bedroom window wish you were here wait then i would not have been able to take the shots or wait maybe i would have made you wake up too a day late posting but still hoping you have a grand and glorious day share this email a link to a friend opens in new window email like loading categories photography tags beauty blog morning nature photography sunrise the visitor published on october 26 2015 october 26 2015 by valrightnow 14 comments it is strange when you move into an old house in an unfamiliar town and country italy 15 th century can you even imagine what it would be like to live then arriving in lucca italy last month felt exciting the old building was crumbling on the outside and the floor tiles were cracked and loose sure there were some updates but this place built so long ago definitely had some tales to tell we were told that it had served as a hospital at one time which caused some to ask about ghosts turns out it was not a place where surgeries and perhaps deaths had occurred but more like what we would call a hostel for people arriving or coming through with no place to stay the view out of our bedroom window to the back of the house the large and ornate living room the separate sitting room off the bedroom 12 to 15 foot ceilings old period furniture heavily bolted front door those things mixed with high speed internet bidets and refrigeration a unique place for sure planning to stay a month and really become part of the tapestry of this old town we settled in and went about getting familiar with people places and things we wanted to find a favorite restaurant coffee shop market oh and gelato about two weeks in i awoke in the middle of the night to a young 20 something aged girl peering at me from the foot of the bed her lips were pursed in a slightly open oh statement her hands were folded in front and she leaned in to examine me i am sure i was strange to her i looked at her and we exchanged not a word then she was gone the bed and bedroom of the visit frightening not to me but i was certainly curious who was she what did she want had she lived here what took her so long to say hello to me or anyone for that matter though others scoffed at my recount of this visit i was sure there was some connection to the past our landlord duccio was a most kind person and visited us frequently whether to advise how to run the unfamiliar appliances or to deliver little gifts like jam he happened to arrive that morning coincidence i could not resist telling him about the girl after getting up and getting around that morning i had noticed a painting in the bedroom the grandfather of duccio was a painter and art professor i had not particularly noticed the picture of a young girl in our room as the house was full of paintings on every wall many were of duccio as a boy and other family members i looked at the face of this girl and felt sure it was the one who had visited me could it be given my complete inability to speak italian and duccio s broken english i began to describe the girl finally i took duccio to the bedroom and showed him the girl on the wall he explained as best he could that the girl was not a relative but indeed the daughter of a veterinarian who was a student of his grandfather i am no artist but i had drawn a sketch of the girl i saw at the foot of the bed i showed it to duccio and he actually placed it in the corner of the frame of the child s picture implying that it could well be the same person my sketch the girl duccio didn t seem to know much about the girl i now wish i could know more i sought answers from the universe or whatever whomever you might believe in as to the reason the girl showed up my gut instinct was purely curiosity i am sure all of us staying in the house were strange to her other than my instinct the message i received was that she wanted to be loved and acknowledged i wonder what her life was like to me this is not a frightening story but to some it would be very disconcerting to wake up to someone looking at them during the night even your child who tiptoes in because they are afraid scares you when you wake and they are just standing there looking at you i have had other encounters if you will but always a friendly spirit how do you feel about this would you be calm or frightened perhaps you are like others who think that i imagined seeing this young woman because i saw the girl in the picture first i would be totally honest if that were the case it is not also the girl in the picture did not arrive as painted it was her older self in this time of halloween ghosts and goblins perhaps this story stirs some thoughts if you have time and the inclination i would be happy to hear from you trick or treat share this email a link to a friend opens in new window email like loading categories quilting hello blogosphere published on october 19 2015 october 19 2015 by valrightnow 13 comments well i have been threatening to return and here i am trying some easier work my way back posts to get going i am reading more posts too i will get there not because this blog is at all all about me but to start i am going to take a share your world challenge from cee at ceenphotography com are you usually late early or right on time my goal is to be just a tad early but it doesn t always happen i hate to hurry so i always try to allow lots of time and i am fortunate that my schedule usually allows that from our recent trip to italy more info to follow if you were or are a writer do you prefer writing short stories poems or novels definitely poems for the most part the few that i have written just come to me generally i wake up with them on my mind where did you live at age 10 i lived in kansas city and moved from one house to another that year it was traumatic because i came home from camp and my house was almost empty i did not know anything about the plan to move i have moved many times since then and currently live in bend oregon our current home on a beautiful fall evening would you rather be able to fly or breathe under water this answer seems a bit morbid i am tempted to say breathe under water just in case because i think drowning would be horrible that said i would rather be able to fly oh the places you could go and the things you could see from such a wonderful vantage point oh btw i am also afraid of very high places go figure other than a plane the closest i have ever come bonus question what are you grateful for from last week and what are you looking forward to in the week coming up last week i attended a beautiful baby shower for a young friend who is almost to complete a high risk pregnancy i am grateful for the eminent success of this situation and the friends that were brought together for the event isn t she lovely coming up who knows it is a great adventure and anything could happen right now i know we will be dining with friends that we love so i will say that is what i am looking forward to if you did thanks for reading i will be easing in with some more of these simpler follow the leader type posts until i can get my own juices back in the groove happy blogging all share this email a link to a friend opens in new window email like loading categories blog tags blog blogging syw updates search for
