load my first of thirteen at 11pm the night before it s probably a good thing that i didn t have any idea what to expect but it also meant i had no time to prepare let me give you a little help physically you really won t want trouble at 11 45 pm when you are getting your page done just under the deadline so check adhesive printer ink paper supplies install new cutter blades you will probably wear them out let your family friends know you may be a w o l this month and ask for their help cooperation mentally commit to daily scrapping for the month commit to at least attempting the prompts there are no load police and any pages done beats none but really working to make it happen every day will change your creative life attempting each of the prompts will help broaden your approach to how you scrap plug you into some new creativity ultimately you are in for the ride of your life you will meet a lot of new friends be inspired by their pages you will tell stories that were forgotten you will have given yourself the gift of a month of creative play you won t love every page you do but hey it s only paper glue and the next day you may just make your most favorite those cute little tags on my page today challenge 3 use negative parts on your page i knew as soon as i punched the tags out that this little kraft piece was destined for this challenge it just looks like a banner waiting to happen a birthday in december seemed the perfect use here s the birthday boy doesn t get any cuter than this his cupcakes were adorned with his favorite characters right now the paw patrol i love when my kit can cough up the perfect paper from the b sides the polka dot was just the thing plus my gold hooray word forgery turned out fab so happy with how the scrap banner turned out perfect way to showcase those forged letters i stamped the wood veneer 3 with a grid pattern to coordinate with those letters wish i had gotten a photo of the cupcakes but i think this least 10 items 2015 will be a series of new things for us one of which will be getting more time up at the retreat i really love this shadow picture of us taken on our first work day i thought the wood veneer numbers were perfect for this page so thrilled that i got right in there with my stitching kit it s a little unexpected not to line up my list with the numbers but i really didn t want to obscure the shadow image on the photo i ve used the birch paper under the title as most of the trees are birch one of our favorite things about our place this next photo kind of says it all it s going january 4 2015 010415 ckc january tutorials it s a brand new year and we are bringing you brand new tutorials at the ckc helping you transform your old scrap stash into trendy takes on new products the first thing i wanted to tackle was the american crafts amy tangerine stitched thrifted paper i thought washi tape would create those slanted stripes perfectly with just a little bit of effort what do you think i usually like mine better than the original lol next up jillibean soup mini die cut kraft tags easy peasy who says i need a silhouette or a cameo me i think i ll save that piece on the left you never know when it may come in handy hehe now the transparent printed bella rouge letters from pink paislee i looked in my digi stash for a striped patterned paper made it black white i cropped printed it 8 1 2 by 11 on transparency paper then started over but rotated it 90 first i will use my sizzix funky brush dies to cut out the letters like so what should have been the easiest forgery turned out to be the toughest the b side of the heidi swapp september skies afternoon breeze paper i had this stencil the perfect colors of paint epic fail it was sloppy ugly plan b mist second section i forgot to cover the first section overspray then i just flipped the stencil to get rid of the excess mist on the paper ugh next try colored pencils just not the look i wanted but when i cleaned the mist off the stencil with a baby wipe i got these pretties they went right into my kit when dry so pick your absolutely favorite thing in the inspiration kit go for it we have a great labels ckc counterfeit kit found supplies scrapbooking sizzix stenciling washi thursday january 1 2015 010115 ckc january kit reveal i m hoping you are reading this in your pajamas no earlier than 2 pm on january 1st after a leisurely delicious brunch with your favorite people oh and someone else is doing the dishes after a month off from making a counterfeit kit you are of course awaiting this inspiration kit here s my take i ve arranged my counterfeits with the b side papers below the larger image of the a sides i couldn t resist subbing in the gorgeous feather paper for the main floral both have a watercolor look to them the floral had a more peachy tone but i went more on the pinky side the original was also more subtly patterned overall than most of my stash so my choices were a bit bolder i ve kept things a little more manageable so far this year lol the paper on the right with the images in the little squares will be cut into as needed instead of stickers embelli packs as in the inspiration kit my plan for the photocopy of these is to use the gold pen on transparency paper to trace whichever word s i need this month i will then fussy cut them for my page here s my version of american craft s amy tan alphabet embroidery stencil kit evalicious photo shoot wood veneer counterfeit i plan to stamp my own sentiment on the banner piece don t forget to return on the
