gle to keep the trolley on the same track all the time and i did have some workout during that anyways i was a bit tired after preparing the sangria and the big shopping on saturday so i prepared some stuff overnight and left rest of the things for sunday morning party day i woke up on time and start cooking for the party as i wanted to serve some indian dishes as suggested by one of the friends i had asked everyone to bring one dish looking at the number of people that would be attending at least 12 15 but i still wanted to cook few things just in case and guess what the food was way too much and it lasted for few days in my fridge which was a good thing and better than less food every one loved the sangria that i had prepared and also the food very different to their usual meal we had a laugh and an awesome time we danced sang and laughed again it was one of the best way to celebrate my birthday i can say so here it goes another item on my bucket list successfully completed hope you initially was to do things as they come and then once done add them to my list as after last year having achieved so much changed my perspective towards the bucket list concept i have already done few things this year that i would love to share with you and doing it already as well i would again categorize my list in terms of body mind and soul area to balance my actions for this year last year was fantastic in terms of the places i travelled adventures i did people i met and feeling of peace and calm that i felt travel fitness food learning and miscellaneous for mind body and soul visit antarctica visit at least 2 new countries visit at least one natural wonders in the world cities places visit at least 6 new places in australia in 12 months national parks visit at least two national parks rivers visit at least two of the famous rivers islands visit at least two of the famous islands prepare for spartan obstacle course run prepare for true grit obstacle course run get some visible abs do one race of any distance run a half marathon example citytosurf in sydney run 7 days in a row and then run for a month at least 3 days a week do my master scuba diving dive in fish rock prepare meal for at least 7 days in a row start eating 5 small meals a day prepare your own drinks juices smothies learn spanish to be able to speak as a beginner learn to surf learn how to write with your left hand as i am a right hand organize my first house party in australia hold a guinness world record in something go on a blind date fall in love with someone with no expectation participate in an event in some other country visit taronga zoo in sydney as i have never been there participate in a flash mob take vow of silence a day a week a month find 10 fears in myself and overcome some of them example approach some one and ask for a coffee date cycle around sydney spend a day of gratitude and no transaction of money but rather live like a monk mamoth cave weekend canyoning buy a car get my driving license learn to surf take an african safari plan christmas and new year in some awesome place yet to decide attend a huge rock concert go on a sailing trip do something for a homeless person write list of fears like last year and overcome some of them insert the link here go on a diving trip do 10 things that make you the happiess plan to participate in carnival in brazil create a custom website for my travels and other stuff try ice skating do something completely spontaneously may be five thing ask a stranger for coffee buy someone lunch write a book make a documentary note question i have updated the list and now its just over 50 so what do you say shall i make it a 100 i would add more items here soon to make it a list of 50 like last year and let s see how many i can achieve this year wish me luck as i would need some wishes my friends and now get ready for an adventurous journey for this year my friend with me where nothing is predictable and anything can happen as this exercise fitness learning mind race soul travel 30 feb 24 2014 color me rad different version of holi and way to have fun and be healthy i did it yay it was one of the best weekend ever really even though i was sick as i had so much fun and i think i overdid myself so i couldn t recover from the cold and infection i had but i don t really regret it i had my first race although it was a baby run of 5 km only but it was my first step to any sort of race i would say as i have never run in any race in my life i wanted to do a half marathan last year but never trained myself for that but this time it was so much fun with colors and water everywhere if you have done colormerad before than you would know what is it all about as it is being held in various parts of the world i was there on time an hour early to register and get my package after online booking it was a long way away 2 5 hours to get to the venue i should have checked the place before signing up i was told this by my friends which was a good advice but i could not do the other colour run as i was going to antarctica that time so this was an awesome opportunity for me to see how i go with running before my next challenge spartan an obstacle course run even though it was no where near difficulty wise to spartan but still it boosted my confidence for my next event for sure and that was enough for me to get going specially when i wasn t very well for last two days anyways so i think i did ok to run 5 km in 40 minutes i suppose as we were slowing down at water stations where they were throwing water at you and more so at the colour stations where you had to make sure you don t open your mouth and also protect your eyes to be able to continue on the race track without any stress i hadn t had so much fun for quiet a long time there were so many kids in this event as many families were participating friends had come in their groups and i was missing mine as my friends were going out of town so they couldn t be here with me but the whole atmosphere was just amazing with music colours water smiles and excitement before the actual race there was a zumba dance as well that lot of people followed i couldn t be a part of it as i took the public transport and i was trying to arrange some place to keep my backpack that i had brought with me with food and spare clothes as there was no bag drop only issue with this event i felt but finally i decided to run with my bag when i couldn t find any solution to this i was on the first of the three waves starting 9 9 30 and 9 45 am and being alone i also managed to get in the front line and then it started with so many people running towards the first water station and then i realized that it is my first run ever as some of the guys started to take over and soon i knew that i have to keep up with them not to fall far behind with the rest of the people so i think i did good as i was at the finish line in 40 minutes or less even though it was a fun run with not much longer distance but it was good enough to boost my motivation for longer runs and to train harder also i have attached pictures from the event we had an awesome party with music more colours and lots of dancing afterwards and around 12 30 i had arrived home after an eventful morning can you imagine what a awesome way to start sunday you would hear a lot more about my upcoming challenges now as this year is going to be the other way around i don t have a bucket list but i would have things that i would add to it as i go once i do them and believe me this would be better than ever as there wouldn t be a pressure of completing things on the list but there would be joy to share the things i have done and the motivation and spontaneous act of doing things as they come run obstacle race race spartan sydney water 5 feb 19 2014 back to la and now on my way to san diego and then miami and orlando well you already know the adventure i had so far in usa on my trip to los journey full of adventures including a very unplanned hitchhiking now here is the rest of my travel in north america with some more stories and fun things it was a fun ride back to los angeles if you haven t read about it then please do have a look at my hitchhiking adventure which wasn t planned but somehow happened during my trip in north america now it was time to visit beautiful san diego and i was all excited to see some of this nice place i had head about after all i didn t get to visit most of it as i was there for one night and half a day only after getting to la so late the other day but i did get a chance to shake a leg in the pub there and also visit the maritime museum there it was lovely to see this place i had heard about so much and then soon it was time to head to miami for new year it was a bit sad to say good bye to my friend in los angeles but few things you got to do after all you are on the road and you never know whom you are going to meet on your next stop but i love travelling for that reason as you have instant connection to people on the way and you have those precious memories in your heart afterwards now my first sight of miami was the foggy morning and the bus stand where i waited for 15 20 minutes for the bus to go to collins ave on north beach now i felt better that i booked my accommodation in a nice area there were big hotels all around and it was 10 minutes walk to the beach from my hostel i walked to miami beach in order to get some food and choose to walk by the beach to do some sightseeing as well on the way so many people were running and i felt a bit out of track after watching them pass by every now and then as i guess i still need to work on the exercise part when i go travelling other than walking of course soon i was in miami beach and now i chose a beachside restaurant if you are not strict then the people from restaurant can be a bit pushy to ask you to come in and buy food there i end up getting my breakfast at one of the joints after walking past few places it was nice to finally have some food after the long flight now i was all set to see the place again but i end up going shopping in a shopping mall there and after clothes i did buy some food as well now i was loaded with so many shopping bags that i had to put them down to wait for the bus the bus system is good in miami so don t worry if you like to commute the local way i love riding the busses and trains as it gives me a feeling as if i am local but remember not everyone speaks english there so if you are not equipped with spanish then it might take a while to start chatting with the locals now it was time to celebrate new year the next day first i went to the so called famous mall that everyone tells you to go called aventura mall biscayne boulevard miami fl united states it was a good and a bad thing bad that i spend the whole day walking and shopping there and good that i did buy some nice clothes but yes if you live in australia then you would certainly appreciate shopping in states as the clothes are more fashionable and affordable hence i could not let this opportunity go away from me in the evening i went to attend a hostel party in miami beach which went very good after i met many people and also a couple from france i had one of the best night with these people celebrating the new year s eve dancing and more dancing as i didn t drink cudos yes i did it i didn t drink at all on this trip next day i had some more time to relax and go to this awesome museum called vizcaya museum gardens address 3251 s miami ave miami miami dade florida 33129 united states to get there you would have to take a bus to downtown miami and if you are at all interested in art and history and architecture then this is a place to be i loved the whole day that i spend at this place and took a lot of pictures as well after that i took a tour to go to orlando the next day to visit disney world it was really big so big that you have to take busses or train to get from one park to another soon after i returned from orlando it was time to head to the airport as i had an early flight so i chose to stay in the airport for couple of hours rather than sleeping in and missing my flight by any chance this was very long flight as i was supposed to catch another plane once i got to los angeles from here and then to sydney from there it was going to be a long flight i thought but wasn t quiet read...
