my favorite things stamps wednesday october 15 2025 color throwdown 843 cheers to you on your birthday it s time for another color throwdown susie is our hostess this week with a bold and bright trio of colors lime pink and orange i used the colors to make a margarita themed birthday design that i ve already given to its recipient the large cheers was stamped on a white panel in pink ink then topped with an orange strip stamped with to you on your birthday i used white vellum lime cardstock and a bit of glitter glue to create the fun margarita element to go with the sentiment the finished 842 let s taco bout your birthday it s time for another color throwdown kelly is our hostess for this week s challenge with a great mix of colors green red and orange i needed a birthday card so i used the colors for this taco themed celebratory card the tacos and birthday hat were made with lawn fawn s year nine stamp set after coloring the stamped images with copic markers i cut them out by hand then positioned them on a white die cut circle i placed the circle on an orange card base over a narrow strip of green cardstock edged with an even narrower strip of red cardstock i stamped the taco themed birthday sentiment on more strips of red cardstock and adhered the text to the left of the images using foam tape for dimension the cardstock is super dark so the sentiment looks more muted than i would have liked especially in this photo a trio of orange matte enamel dots arranged around the sentiment and image panel finished off the design to play along just create a paper throwdown 841 fall thank you it s time for another color throwdown lisa is our hostess this with a pretty mix of colors terracotta navy and pale blue i added in a little metallic shine for my take on the challenge after die cutting a trio of leaves with stitched detailing from terracotta cardstock i partially dipped them in copper embossing powder heating it for a pretty shine i arranged the leaves on a pale blue card base with a wide strip of contrasting navy cardstock near the bottom using foam tape for dimension a narrow strip of terracotta cardstock edges the bottom of the navy panel to tie the elements together the thank you so much sentiment was heat embossed in the same copper as on the leaves for a final sparkly touch to play along just create a paper crafted project using image is the flower from reverse confetti s sending smiles set styled as a sunflower i used foam tape to position it on a sunny yellow card base then tucked pairs of green leaves beneath it the set s thank you sentiment is stamped just above the flower on the right side of the card a contrasting strip of red on red dotted pattern paper adhered to the left edge of the card finishes the design to birthday card the colors look great with the watch band dies from the stamp market i cut all of the pieces from cardstock scraps and arranged them on a white panel with a strip of aqua striped paper i used the colors to make a simple floral thank you card my focal image is a pair of blooms and a bunch of leaves made with altenew s bright blossoms stamps and dies the die cut images were arranged inside a gold foil frame cut with an altenew die for interest i positioned the flower so two of the leaves extended beyond the frame and used foam tape for the flowers the thank you sentiment from the sentiment strips 2 set was stamped in hot pink ink on a narrow white strip after matting the text on a hot pink strip matching the card base i used foam tape to place it on the card overlapping the
