stuff out sure you probably already knew most of it heck if you voted republican it was because you already knew it would happen 6 months ago but he puts it all in a nice tidy lump here s part of it and in two weeks we went from the highest ethical standards in history to richardson and daschle pulling out for probable violations of the law and the new treasury secretary and de facto head of the irs cheating on his taxes and the secetary of labor suddenly paying off liens and lobbying for labor organizations and ten plus lobbyists appointed to a new no lobbyist government and when hollywood used to give us movies like rendition and rants about bush shredding the constitution what did hope and change give us more fisa the patriotic act rendition iraq and another year at least of guantanamo all now as necessary and legitimate as it once was hitlerian and after eight years of bush is trying to terrify us we are told that anyone not voting for a new trillion dollars of debts is ushering in catastrophe and without sudden change california will have no farms no agriculture even and for the incompetent deer in the headlights scott mcclellan we got incompetent deer in the headlights robert gibbs was that all hope and change was but most people won t understand because in their minds only republicans are evil and democrats are incapable of being corrupt naive wrong evil etc and so we will still have democratic party officials who will continue to screw everyone over laughing all the way to the bank at the people naive enough to believe their campaign promises leave a prius i beg to differ take a look and click on different pictures here if you ask me the nose of the new insight looks like the more recent civic front ends and the back end looks like the accord rear 2009 11 09 pm iraq first hand for those that didn t read between the lines or just plain didn t read it on 5 february i intimated that i will be defending the nation from abroad for a full year i ll be in iraq i m not happy to be separated from my wife i m not happy that it might mean going 2 5 years without seeing my kids but i am actually happy i m getting a chance to go i supported the war but never had the chance to go before at this point i just can t justify to my wife volunteering to go but having been tagged for it i go willingly and cheerfully i don t leave for several more months though 3 comments filed under leadership parenting me february 9 2009 9 28 pm travel guitar interlude i decided to go with the ministar rokstar with p 90s the main reason why is that in all the reviews i saw of the traveler speedster and eg 1 they said you have to get used to having your picking hand arm out in the air with nothing to rest on and the knee rest puts the guitar very close to your leg whereas 3 out of 4 reviews for ministar guitars were extremely positive the knee rest addition puts the picking location the same as a regular guitar and there is an arm rest extension that lets you rest your forearm in the same place you would on a full bodied guitar so it seems to me that playing a year on a ministar guitar will affect my playing picking position and technique far less than a traveler guitar i don t want to have to relearn anything when i get back because positions are different plus they don t seem to be marketing the ministar guitars as cheap knockoffs they are marketing them as actual substitutions for regular guitars and the comments seem to indicate they are largely successful in doing so 3 out of 4 reviewers said it was easy to set up and when done the action was good and the sound quality excellent the ministar website itself claims the frets and action are calculated and executed with care and precision that was the thing that scared me the most i didn t want to end up with a guitar that couldn t be in tune with itself that had inconsistent fret heights buzzing high action etc i will certainly let everyone know how it turns out once it gets reminder if anyone has been reading me from the beginning i started in september of 2002 you know that one of my advocacies is you can t re distribute wealth you can only re distribute money wealth is created through the combination of skill and effort by re distributing money you actually destroy wealth and if you took all the money and jobs in the us and gathered them up and distributed them opposite so that the previous poor had most of the money and good jobs it wouldn t take long before the previously poor were back on the bottom and the previously rich were back on top because the us society is still extremely conducive to economic mobility people sometimes forget that means down as well as up but if you consistently make good decisions you will move up the economic ladder here s how someone else puts it in our free enterprise system employees are valued largely in terms of what they can do this is why teenagers fresh out of high school often go to vocational training institutes to become auto mechanics or electricians they understand a basic principle that seems to elude social commentators politicians and union organizers if you want better pay you need to learn skills that are in demand the blunt tools of legislation or union power can force a corporation to pay higher wages but if employees don t create an equal amount of additional value there s no net gain all other factors remaining equal the store will have to charge higher prices for its merchandise and its competitive position will suffer this is economics 101 but no one wants to believe it because it tells us that a legislative or unionized quick fix is not going to work in the long term if you want people to be wealthier they have to create additional wealth to my mind the real scandal is not that a large corporation doesn t pay people more the scandal is that so many people have so little economic value despite or because of a free public school system millions of teenagers enter the work force without marketable skills so why would anyone expect them to be well paid this comes from an article praising wal mart as well it should leave a comment filed under economics philosophy
