australia bans use of data from animal tests in cosmetics march when the parliament of australia finally passed the industrial chemicals bill 2017 it began a new chapter in the history of australian animal rights the new law takes effect on july 1 2020 under the legislation companies will be banned from using data taken as a result of animal testing when introducing a new chemical or ingredient
