Text of the page (random words):
theory in case anyone wants to see the full scope of it all assembled in chronological order of original posting the shitpost that got me started down this rabbit hole raven the deadbeat dad first proper theory post i ever did on the subject when a crazy theory just keeps seeming more crazily plausible holy shit i found actual evidence to this back on this hot bit of crazy analyzing the one time ruby and raven have spoken on screen plus some musings on cinder reading between the lines of just how little yang and ruby actually know about their family remember how summer qrow and tai didn t even tell yang that raven was her mother until after summer died a rant about realizing that character designs are not accidental holy shit crwby had to have chosen to make raven look like she does why taiyang is still ruby s father hey remember how we all agree that summer is also yang s mom reading between the lines of the warrior in the woods has anyone ever thought about how much we actually know about the relationship between summer raven and tai yes i do in fact know this all sounds crazy it s not my fault is keeps making so much sense a funny little detail about ruby summer and raven hey remember how this show is so obsessed with color theory that just about every character is named for a color in some way a theory on how raven could have knocked up summer aka how it would actually be pretty fitting for ruby to be a rosebird magical lesbian lovechild a short rambling reaction to summer s official design remember what i said about same three colors another brief rambling reaction to the show giving us summer and raven mysteriously running off together before cutting back to ruby why taiyang is still ruby s father and why it s kind of hilariously irrelevant as an argument point against raven being ruby s secret deadbeat dad why tai and qrow would hide raven being ruby s dad aka you know how adults in rwby have a bad habit of hiding really important shit from their kids an in depth analysis of the interpersonal relationships of team strq and why rosebird is definitely a thing why rosebird parents actually plays in a lot of classic fantasy tropes and how raven has a surprising amount in common with a certain star wars character a long overdue look at the foreshadowing potential of the cotta arcs and how adrian could totally be the proverbial smoking gun for this whole theory a brief consideration on why qrow wouldn t have revealed ruby s true parentage and why this reinforce qrow as the closest thing ruby has to a functional father figure what s the point of all this aka yes raven being ruby s real dad does in fact add something to the narrative thoughts on how we might actually get a rosebird parents reveal in volume 10 it s not a climax to a narrative arc but an inciting incident a brief observation on something that makes ruby different from summer and happens to make her similar to raven possible rosebird parents foreshadowing in the big volume 9 loredump i swear i wasn t even looking for this one xd how i m hoping a rosebird parents reveal will happen and how i think ruby should get the show s one and only f bomb xd a more serious discussion on the potential mechanics of a rosebird reveal and forgive my completely forgetting about one major point lol how ruby takes after raven aka where do you think ruby go her ruthless and manipulative side from xd how raven s spring maiden reveal might just be the trial run for a rosebird parents reveal they re both hiding right in plain sight xd supplementary material not directly about rosebird parents but related nonetheless summer and the crown a theory on just why summer went after salem alone and how raven knows so much the disappearance of raven sadedgybirdmom theorizing on the real reason raven left and why the reasons she s given are probably bullshit not the bird you re thinking of analyzing the parallels between team strq and team rwby and why raven isn t her teams equivalent to blake ntbyto supplemental team strq is the disaster team rwby why the vacuo arc is going to be very important to ruby and yang or why the strq family reunion is going to be messy the ravens odin aka how ruby possibly probably being an allusion to the norse god odin can tie into all this an observation on the fact that only ruby got to see the vision of summer leaving with raven hey look a plot hook for ruby to track down raven analyzing the fandom s perception of the summer raven tai relationship and why we should probably be questioning just about everything we learned about them from yang how and why qrowtai is the real parallel to bumbleby on team strq and how rosebird parallels white rose a trio of posts that i am collectively calling theories on upcoming strq family epic fucked up drama funtimes that a rosebird parents reveal would fit perfectly into everything we assume about team strq and why it s actually everything taiyang xiao long the latest in a long line of fuckups ruby s and yang s family reckoning aka team strq is the most dysfunctional hot fucking mess of a family in rwby how i think summer could be responsible for the entire plot of rwby or how summer s martyr complex fucked over everyone the germ of truth to qrow being ruby s dad those theories are definitely still wrong just in a wrong for the right reasons kinda way raven branwen and the closest thing to a good reason for daddy to abandon you why summer was the one to fumble raven and how everyone is now paying for it additional material to be added tags rwby rwby theory rwby theory master post rosebird rosebird parents rosebird parents theory raven is ruby s dad ruby rose summer rose raven branwen text october 08 2026 3 notes hey so we ve all at least heard of kannazuki no miko right iconic angsty tragic doomed yuri anime from the early 00s with a super iconic ed pose image that has been replicated with basically every wlw pair in anime since well it turns out the show is also technically a mecha anime which has led some people over the years to posit that it should be in a super robot wars game the thing is i feel like there are some issues here you see the problem with putting kannazuki no miko in a super robot wars game is that if you stop to think about how that would actually work logistically then it quickly becomes apparent that a straightforward adaptation of kannazuki no miko into an srw game would be extremely unsatisfying for any actual fan of kannazuki no miko because as it turns out neither of the main heroines lovers himeko kurusagawa or chikane himemiya do any actual piloting of giant robots for the vast majority of the show instead the vast majority of heroic mech piloting in the show is done by the third wheeling male romantic false lead souma oogami i think we can all see the problem here i have to imagine that nobody would enjoy an srw adaptation of a yuri anime wherein the male romantic false lead gets the spotlight as the actual giant robot pilot while the actual heroines of the story have to be relegated to at best assist character position honestly i wouldn t be surprised if this is part of the reason we ve never seen knm in an srw game the creative team simply knows that a straight adaptation wouldn t be enjoyable by fans of the series and this is further complicated by the fact that even some requisite srw brand changes to the source material wouldn t help or at least would be very difficult say for example souma doesn t get his first episode heel face turn and remains one of the villains well that s a problem because it s also his mech that he brings along with said heel face turn that does most of the fighting in the show so now that isn t available for our heroines really the only mech in the show that himeko and or chikane could realistically pilot is the ame no murakumo which of course they spend most of the show just trying to summon basically i think the only way you could do a satisfying adaptation of knm in a super robot wars game would be via a heavy rewrite along with an original generation mech for himeko and or chikane to actually pilot say for example during souma s first attack himeko and chikane maybe through the power of a big damn kiss are able to summon an incomplete underpowered version of ame no murakumo which one or both of them are able to use to defeat drive off souma with the help of whatever other members of the game s roster happen to show up himeko and chikane end up joining the team while souma remains a recurring enemy boss along with the rest of the orochi though he does end up switching sides at some point similar to the original show and the running goal of the story shifts from himeko and chikane trying to summon ame no murakumo to them instead trying to power up the mech they already have to the point where it can defeat orochi plus help stop all the other threats now the thing is this isn t totally outside the realm of possibility super robot wars has come up with wholly original mechs for even its licensed series most famously mazinkaiser as well as more recently mazin emperor g both from mazinger and most recently dynazenon relive in srw y to name a few so yeah that s how they could do kannazuki no miko in a super robot wars game do i think it s likely no but honestly stranger things have happened tags srw super robot wars srw rambling kannazuki no miko himeko kurusugawa chikane himemiya souma ogami forgot i never got around to posting this lol text october 08 2026 4 notes paxesoterica asked so this question isn t on the salty ask list but it is in that same general spirit i ve seen more than a few folks share their dream ideal roster for super robot wars and tbf it is a pretty fun mental exercise but i was curious are there any mecha or mecha adjacent series you would not want to appear in a future game even if they ve been used in the past oooh yeah that s an interesting one i feel like cowboy bebop being in srw t always felt like just a bit too much of a stretch in terms of both the genre of the series and what it offered in terms of gameplay like at least space battleship yamato in v and nadia in x represented a pretty interesting twist on the srw formula of having the mc mecha of a series entry being a battleship instead of a mech to put it another way while yamato and nadia might not be mecha series the nature of their stories allow them to fit alongside mecha series quite well by a similar token concerning other series i ve seen pitched by the fandom i think stuff like ghost in the shell or metal gear just won t work just because a series technically has mecha in it in some capacity doesn t necessarily mean it would be a good fit for srw like i feel the mecha need to be fairly central to the overall narrative and piloted by the main character in some capacity that has similar significance to the story if you have to crowbar and mangle the original story and premise to make it fit srw as you d have to do for gits or mgs then you ve really lost the point of it all basically i feel like most pitches for unconventional srw entries stop at wouldn t it be cool if and don t actually further think about how it might actually work or not in an srw setting actually i just remembered i have an un posted wip that would be quite relevant here concerning one kannazuki no miko one moment xd post by anthurak 0 0 ️ 0 hey so we ve all at least heard of kannazuki no miko right iconic angsty tragic doomed yuri anime from the early 00s wit tumblr tags srw sigynpenniman allthingswhumpyandangsty yeah google has gone downhill ever since they let ai take over their platform this is not new several years ago the creators of phineas and ferb had issues with dropbox for the same reason they got copyright struck on private files of their own show because they got picked up by dropbox s content id system most cloud providers use tools like content id to scan uploaded files even private ones for copyright infringement or objectionable content do not trust the cloud under any circumstances with anything potentially pirated questionable or as your sole backup there s nothing wrong with using cloud storage for convenience but it should never be your only copy and it should be totally avoided with pirated or copyrighted content this is part of the
