facets of mosaics such as classical reproduction large scale installations and contemporary methodology take a look at our course offerings to discover the possibilities of mosaic art quick view mosaic i 360 00 our signature 6 week class is geared toward beginners and primarily self taught students who want to learn about basic techniques tools and materials in mosaic art this informative class covers cutting proper adhesives substrates design layout and grouting students are introduced to a wide variety of materials and will complete two projects during the class exploring both traditional and contemporary techniques students are encouraged to experiment with color and texture to begin to discover the possibilities of this beautiful art form all materials are included no prerequisite when registering for classes at cms please be aware of our refund and cancellation policy this class is also offered as an intensive weekend workshop a version of this class is offered as an online course here s what previous mosaic i students had to say about their experience i know how casey took her time to explain every step of the process i felt like i was missing nothing because she always asked for feedback i love the space and the people were all so welcoming the instructor was great and made the class fun without being intimidating also hearing about the history and art pieces currently in the gallery was wonderful to learn my teacher is extremely knowledgeable fun to work with and the studio is always well equipped actually taught the concepts to make the drawing as opposed to just copying instructor exceeded any expectations so fun and interesting very impressed overall i always find the instructors so supportive and encouraging it s an open fun supportive environment sue was an excellent teacher very clear and thorough in her instruction she s also kind and patient i knew a lot of the material of this class so i tried to work a bit more on andamento and she managed to support my effort without taking away from the other students i so appreciated martha s support direction especially considering my physical limitations her in depth knowledge
