can see myself wearing this a lot during the hot summer months and also combining the pieces with lots of other things in my wardrobe i m hoping doing these posts will get me back into blogging a share to x share to facebook share to pinterest sunday may 10 2015 gold hatted lovers the flutter sleeve day dress i ve been a big fan of katie and tim of the gold hatted lovers for a long time now when i heard they were going to be launching a clothing line i seriously freaked out and when i actually saw the clothes i freaked out even more everything looked so beautiful and the items they were creating were things i hadn t seen offered at other vintage reproduction places so i knew i had to start saving my pennies save them i did and bought a few of their pretties for summertime lounging here is one of the lovely duds i purchased this is the flutter sleeve day dress in ivory it s so gorgeous and silky in person i really never wanted to take it off the construction of their garments is top notch and i adore that everything has that 30 s look but without the almost falling apart bit that original vintage sometime has the dress is supposed to fall a little shorter but i m quite petite so it has more of a gown look on me i may toy with shortening it though i do like the longer length as well i was going to put all the looks together in one blog post and then i realized that might get a bit long i had a lot of fun shooting these with my hubs so i ll be doing three installments and that way you get the goods without having to scroll for ages katie and tim have kindly offered my 24 2014 life lately or the last 4 or so months here are some snaps of life over the last several months the lovely miriam came through nashville this summer and stayed with us i turned 25 i also took up yoga we saw lots of nashville while miriam was here we went to some great restaurants like hattie b s and loveless we heard some fantastic bluegrass and did a little bit of shopping i got that fantastic 40 s coconut purse at the rare bird i also celebrated my birthday in august geez i m 25 with tyler taking me to sinema if you re ever in nashville you should go the drinks cocktails and decor are fabulous my birthday cake says take two because on my birthday i got sick some sad things happened and altogether it didn t end up being quite the day we had planned so ty re did the whole thing a few weeks later which was so incredibly sweet i ve started doing ashtanga yoga and have developed quite a love and dedication for it my sister sarah and i are really interested in acro yoga november 17 2014 it s been awhile hello all if anybody is around that still reads my blog that is i ve been gone far longer than i planned but really i didn t plan on being gone at all since i ve last written here we ve moved in with my parents to save up for a house and finish paying off a little bit of student debt whooo tyler has just finished up assistant directing a film which took him from me for the whole month of october some sadness has crossed my path as well these last few months and if you follow me on instagram you ll know i had a very dear friend and mentor pass away quite suddenly this summer life has been a little jumbled and complicated for the littons as of late but we re finally getting everything sorted out i decided i wanted to come back to a little bit of blogging and it a while ago but these capris from vivian of holloway have been a summer staple for me and i just had to share them i have the capris rolled up slightly here so they are a bit longer when left down facebook share to pinterest monday july 7 2014 only lovers left alive tyler and i had been wanting to see this film for a while and when it finally showed up in nashville we hurried off to see it i think this film inspired a love akin to what stoker inspired in me last summer except there is more romance and less killing at least a little less killing the basis of the film is this amazing love story between two vampires adam and eve who are complete opposites but two beautifully creative beings that love each other deeply when i think of vampires i immediately go to something awful like the twilight series kind of vampires thankfully these vampires are quite the opposite they are these gorgeous creatures and oh so romantic and pretentious in the most lovely way possible one of the many things i adored about the film was adams creativity in the musical realm it was so interesting to see a vampire portrayed as this amazingly talented and creative being also the soundtrack is simply dreamy very different from anything i would normally have liked but i ended up in love with it stylistically the film is gorgeous half the battle with me is aesthetics once you have fabulous costuming and a great feel to the movie you have me hooked if you want to see a romantic love story with dreamy music and pretentious vampires this film is for you even if that doesn t sound good just go see it movie life lately or something other than an outfit post but i have so many fun things from months ago that i wanted to share with you all that you re getting another outfit post i promise i ll try to
