2 crafty chipboard friday april 17 2026 today layout by marie sabatier hello everyone today i m sharing my second layout for april featuring an adorable photo of my grandson milan i chose to stay with the same soft and fresh color palette as my previous page using warm yellows and gentle greens that beautifully reflect the spirit of spring these tones create a light and joyful atmosphere perfectly highlighting this sweet and precious moment today the chipboard used today phrase set hexagon outline frames set foliage set 14 bees with hive to start i prepared all my chipboard pieces with a coat of white gesso i then applied soft layers of distress oxide inks blending the colors to match the overall palette of the layout and create a natural slightly vintage look i used the hexagon outline frames set to build the structure of my composition arranging the frames in a flowing design across the page to naturally guide the eye toward the photo to embellish them i applied distress oxide inks in walnut stain and vintage photo then lightly added black soot along the edges to create depth i finished by lightly spraying water to create subtle oxidized spots adding texture while keeping the overall look soft and delicate for the floral cluster i used the foliage set 14 chipboard to add height and softness to the composition i colored the foliage using 49 and market inks in pineapple and green jeans bringing fresh and vibrant tones that enhance the spring feeling of the layout i also incorporated elements from the bees with hive chipboard set to reinforce the theme i colored them with distress oxide antique linen then gently added vintage photo along the edges to create depth and a slightly aged effect these details add both texture and visual interest while keeping the overall design light and harmonious to finish my layout i added the today title which i colored using distress oxide inks in antique linen and vintage photo with a few soft touches of pineapple to bring a subtle warmth i kept the tones soft and neutral gently adding more depth along the edges to create a delicate dimensional effect i completed the page with a few small embellishments including honeycomb details and bees to reinforce the theme finally i added light splatters to bring texture and unify the composition while keeping the overall look soft and balanced all these chipboard designs are available on the 2crafty website i hope this layout has inspired you and i look forward to seeing you next time marie posted by marie s at 2 00 00 am email this blogthis share to x share so happy you dropped in today i m really enjoying this beautiful spring weather here in colorado my favorite time of year is when i finally start to warm up we always replant our garden every spring so i created this layout to remind me of the garden we will soon have can t wait loving these moments 2crafty chippies i used are 6 circle revolution frames molly s butterfly set loving these moments i used both black and white gesso on these pieces i like using black gesso when i want a piece to be black instead of using black paint it s just easier with the same results and it covers great so speaking of using both gesso s here is an example on the 6 circle revolution frame i first coated it with black gesso then spattered over it with white gesso i wanted to try to copy the large circle on the left that is printed on the patterned paper not perfect but i got close i added one of the butterflies from the molly s butterfly set inside the revolution frame the set comes with the butterflies like you see here and solid pieces to back them i chose to only use the butterflies on this layout here on the left is another butterfly from the molly s butterfly set all of the butterflies were first painted with white gesso then painted with glacier chalk paint i love the title loving these moments i really like how it s offset i think having it this way adds so much interest not to mention versatility i simple painted it with sheepskin chalk paint after first coating it with white gesso i placed one more 6 circle revolution frame piece here at the bottom to balance out the circles then added in one more of the molly s butterflies again for balance and to mimic the circle up top and that s it my ode to springtime warmth and flowers hope you like it i ll be back later in the month to share more from 2crafty xx posted by robin schelin at 1 30 00 am email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest tuesday april 14 2026 love this memory layout by di garling hello there di garling here with you on the blog today with another layout that i have created using some fabulous pieces of my favourite 2crafty chipboard 2crafty chipboard used word stick set 5 happy daisy set i have also used some up and coming soon to be released wire pieces too to start off with for my title i have used one of these awesome little word sticks this one is from the word stick set 5 2crafty have lots lots of different ones i simply trimmed the ends inked around the edges with a brown ink a perfect little title when you don t have a lot of free space then i simply just stuck it on the top of my flower cluster next came the little daisy pieces from the happy daisy set i gave them two coats of white acrylic paint then i blobbed on some texture paste to the middles of each daisy to create a textured flower centre before finishing them off with a little yellow paint once they were dry i also lightly sponged some brown ink around the edges to make them stand out lastly i finished off with a couple of pieces of this new soon to be released wire mesh bits i simply inked these by sponging on some brown ink too easy i am releasing this layout as a kit to see more info etc or if you would like to see some more of my work you can pop over to my blog click here until next time posted by di garling at 12 30 00 am email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest monday april 13 2026 so sweet by tania ridgwell hello there tania joining you today to share the second of my dt projects for april i have created a layout for my second share so sweet 2 crafty chipboard used so sweet title window shutter set 3 leafy shrub set 1 i have used the beautiful uniquely creative ultraviolet delight collection to create the base for my layout i first painted all the chippie pieces with a couple of coats of gesso i then randomly sprayed all the chippie pieces except the so sweet chippie title with heidi swapp color shine amethyst iridescent spray to construct my page i cut the window shutter chippie in half and then tucked it under my photo i added lots of fussy cut and paper flowers around my photo i tucked in the leafy shrub chippies amongst all the embellishments and finished off my page by adding the so sweet chippie title thats all from me today i hope i have inspired you all with my layout until next time thanks so much for stopping by tania xx posted by tania at 1 30 00 am email this blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest labels 2 crafty chipboard dt tania ridgwell leafy shrub set 1 so sweet title window shutter set 3 friday april 10 2026 dogs have a special way of adding love by charmane sharp sage candlelight papers by 3quarter designs for my dt work with craft avenue distribution combine beautifully with 2crafty chipboard i had trouble photographing this layout as the papers have a sheen finish and because i have separated my photos it made it difficult to avoid the glare so i do apologise that its a little off focus to avoid these issues the close ups are much better to see the details sometimes even the best lighting can t avoid these issues 2crafty chipboard used dogs love phrase frame heart strings foliage set 3 such a beautiful phrase perfect for this layout of my son and tahlia prima metallic watercolours added a lovely sheen in white and a light mint green to highlight the words dogs and love placing it on a resin clock with a piece of foliage underneath gave it height and visual importance to perfectly frame my photo i used the larger heart strings frame on top to signify the love seen shining through the metallic gold creates a wonderful finish against the black and white photo by using white metallic on the circles it gives them a slight difference against the pale sage leaves to define them it looks beautiful with the pastel flowers as contrast this layout is full of soft greens and nature but not too girly that the phrase still remains the focus 2crafty chipboard has loads of fabulous titles but this is one of my favourites as you all know dogs have a special place in my heart until next time
