stay at home with abbi stay at home with abbi monday june 18 2012 backyard camping we got to go camping the other day it was seriously the best kind of camping there is camping in harold and darlene s backyard no dirt no worrying about kids running off toliets sinks and showers we had a really great time we roasted hot dogs swam had ice cream cones and slept in a tent posted by abbi andersen at 2 47 pm 2 comments tuesday may 29 2012 a month of races it s been a crazy month for me i had 3 races in 5 weeks it was a blast first i did so cal ragnar it was a relay race going from huntington beach to san diego i think it was 203 miles total there were 12 people on a team and each person does 3 legs of runs i had about 15 miles total it takes about 35 hours and there is someone running at all times it was so much fun the second race i did was the american river parkway half marathon i did this race last year and it s a good little race in sacramento mostly shaded on a path and flat it was fun and i m glad i did it the third race i did was the red rock relay we got invited to do this one from ben and telia it was in moab and it s about 1 3 of a ragnar it s 70 miles teams of 6 and you run 2 legs it was so much fun i loved doing it with daniel and ben and telia it was hard because it was in the desert direct sun and no shade but beautiful in it s own way it was daniel s first race and he did awesome one of his legs was nothing but hills the poor guy was climbing switch backs the whole time but he did it and he did it well our team was supposed to finish around 9 30pm but we actually finished at 6 30pm we had some awesome teammates i love running i have nothing scheduled right now and it s kinda driving me crazy maybe napa valley ragnar we ll see start line my team name was like a virgin running for the very first time we went with the whole madonna theme my whole team at the finish line at san diego the end of my first leg my first run was only 3 miles so i ran with the tutu it wasn t bad hazel loved my costume i really think she wears it better than i do this was after i ran the american river parkway half marathon kinda red brothers at the start line of the red rock relay we drove a truck with an awesome cover for shade it was great to be able to jump in and out so easily right before my last leg getting ready for some serious hills finish line we got a slash for each leg we did our names are animal names in the zuni language my name was road runner my first leg of 7 8 miles direct sun and pavement daniel finishing up his first leg about to hand off to me marston and i waiting for daniel to come in first leg done getting ready for my first leg posted by abbi andersen at 3 38 pm 1 comment monday may 7 2012 a visit from my parents my parents came for a short visit about a month ago we had a great time together we went to the sacramento train museum and went up to chilly tahoe for a couple of days the kids really love having their grandparents here to spoil them with love and kisses i just wish they lived closer marston and papa at the train museum it s a bad picture but the only one i have of all of us okay minus daniel my mom actually put plants in my pots thanks mom having a picnic on a cold day in tahoe posted by abbi andersen at 10 44 am 1 comment easter we had a lovely easter this year we got a surprise visit from ben and telia and their kids so it was extra fun saturday we had a little easter egg hunt with all the kids harold and darlene have a great backyard for hiding eggs it was so cute to watch them sunday we all went to harold and darlene s ward and then had a wonderful dinner after it was great to have a little bit of time with ben and telia love this picture hazel with her cousin emmaline the 3 brothers erik my daniel and ben add caption posted by abbi andersen at 10 06 am no comments older posts home subscribe to posts atom about me abbi andersen i am a stay at home mom who loves to cook decorate and sew yep it s like i m a woman straight from the 50 s i have been married for 5 years now and have 1 adorable little boy who turns 2 years old june 22nd we are expecting our second baby november 1st we are truly blessed and want to share our lives with you view my complete profile blog archive 2012 10 june 1 backyard camping may 3 march 1 january 5 2011 22 december 3 november 6 october 1 september 4 august 1 may 1 april 1 february 3 january 2 2010 29 december 1 november 2 october 4 september 4 august 2 july 1 june 4 may 4 april 2 march 2 february 1 january 2 2009 52 december 3 november 4 october 3 september 2 august 7 july 8 june 8 may 11 april 4 march 2 simple theme powered by blogger
