visit betty for the eclipse in april january trying to book travel and having a hard time with amtrak february purchased my train tickets and made my hotel reservations in chicago for the trip march i travelled from tacoma washington to texarkana arkansas by myself on the train i was able to visit with 1 son and his wife in chicago both on the way and on the return journey overnights in chicago at the marriott residence inn my sister picked me up at the train station on the last day of march april i spent two weeks staying with my sister in texarkana we played cribbage ate good food and watched the birds from her deck we watched a total eclipse with her daughter s family and in laws i travelled back to tacoma through chicago on amtrak by myself i was able to book myself into the handicapped room on the way back and had room for me my luggage and walker lots of grab bars and places to hold on meals brought to me by the room attendant visit 2 son and his family in mid june may trip is planned hotel is reserved car will be picked up for the drive over the mountains june had a great trip saw daughter in law graduate visited spokane and grand coulee dam wine tasting in walla walla insurance payouts inheritance paperwork is 95 completed actual income is still a little up in the air budget we re doing pretty well since al s va has been increased suddenly since i m alone there may be worries or maybe not uncertainty is hard to live with but by moving i ve cut my living expenses by almost 2000 a month savings after elevating our va claim through our congressman in mid march we received a lump sum of 14k of the additional amount we were due since al applied that with the additional monthly va payment makes saving much easier as a widow i m going to be living on social unknown 1 mid 40s when i got up and cloudy with rain expected later the rain started late morning the temperature hasn t crawled out of the 40s and it s not expected to high 49 deg 2 i spent the whole morning doing the wash but everything is washed dried folded and hung up 3 i managed to get in 60 minutes on the nustep while i waited for the washing machine to do its thing i m so pleased i don t off and the sun came out near lunch time even though the wind never did die down high temperature was 55 deg 2 i trekked up the hill in rain jacket and hat about 10 00 i got 45 minutes on the nustep before i met with my personal trainer for strength exercises thankfully the rain stopped while i was there so i could walk back down without rain in my face 3 breakfast was orange juice scrambled eggs afternoon 55 deg 2 my housekeeper came today while i was at breakfast i have clean sheets on the bed the bathroom and kitchenette have been scrubbed and everything is dusted and vacuumed 3 today was shot day at franke tobey jones i walked over to the health care building and got my covid and flu shots while i was out i drove down to safeway and picked up the groceries i had ordered then i drove
