welcome skip to main skip to sidebar welcome wednesday june 6 2012 how can it be done that is all posted by boy at 10 56 pm no comments friday march 23 2012 this could be it that is right alot is riding on this game with the majority of the top ten picking kentucky as the champion and only one person picking indiana we could see a changing of the guard with this game being much closer than i think most people thought it would be i imagine many of you are still awake and watching will this game mean anything if kentucky wins will an indiana victory through things off even more only time will tell on a side note how does jason do it he goes from top five to bottom five to middle of the pack to top five again he is the roller coaster of the brackets what an awful second half oh well better luck to the big ten next year posted by boy at 11 27 pm no comments labels situation room thursday march 22 2012 second weekend sorry for the late update below are the standings as the first weekend wrapped sadly for most of us our age is showing and the young guys are taking it to us hard except for luke he is making sure none of us old farts come in last so far today we have had one nail biter that almost saw an upset but instead eliminated a big 10 team posted by boy at 9 29 pm no comments labels situation room friday march 16 2012 first day done alright there were not too many upsets and it appears that the tournament still could go to almost anyone i am please that i am again in the top 5 and hope that i can stay there obviously those in front of me have been lucky and 16 12 11 05 am est on a side note and to make everyone under roo sweat i am going to let everyone know how we came up with roo s selections this year it was very simple and did not take into account anything other than seed and a penny that is correct we flipped a penny if the penny came up heads we picked the top seed if tails the lower seeded team we began in the south then proceeded to the west then the east and finally ended in the midwest division now with a team like detroit picked to win it all it is not likely that roo will take first place however it will be interesting to see who he beats and how well his strategy works for him posted by boy at 11 04 am no comments labels situation room thursday march 15 2012 roos first swim a thon this past monday march 12 2012 roo and the other storm swimmers from flashes aquatics took to the water to earn money for their swim club riley was shooting for 500 yards i knew he could do more but his effort and results even surprised me he swam 82 laps or 4 100 yards in his two hour time slot in fact he was the only one in the pool for his last 30 minutes or so he was the only one in his group to swim the entire two hours they all took a break to do some tie dying and he really enjoyed that as well monday was supposed to be his last day of practice until after spring break but he wanted to swim with the other groups as well the older kids so we returned on tuesday on tuesday he took it a bit easier he did not swim the entire two hours and did another tie dye shirt he still managed to swim 24 laps for another 1200 yards finally on wednesday he set a goal to swim the maximum allowed of 5000 yards in the two hour time limit he started off strong but quickly noticed that the high schoolers he was swimming with were playing around alot so obviously he wanted in on the fun as all this was sourly because he wanted to i was not pushing him i asked if he still wanted to meet his goal of 5000 yards and he said he did i then explained to him how many yards he would have to do every 30 minutes and he immediately took off swimming again i agreed that after 2000 yards he could swim with flippers and that energized him after another break for tie dying he jumped in and swam his little heart out in fact he bettered his performance from monday by swimming 4 700 yards although for the swim a thon results he can only count mondays yards he still swam more than anyone else in the team in one two hour slot way to go roo posted by boy at 9 10 pm no comments labels roo byu goes down hard with five games in the books we still have five individuals with perfect records as has been the case most years almost 50 of us could not let our heads beat out our hearts and we picked byu to win in the first round handing many
