first there were mommy and daddy then came ultra and turbo then came me zelda and ramona and now we welcome a very noisy and smelly addition to the family natalie j date january 14 2009 time 3 17 p m weight 7 lbs 6 oz length 20 inches mommy and daddy gave her a good start the night before she arrived by going to scalini s for dinner scalini s has a great eggplant parmigiana mommy and daddy eat it regularly anyway but legend has it that this wonderful dish also induces labor mommy ate to her heart s content and even ordered dessert sure enough mommy s water broke that night at 2 30 am i was such a good little girl that i was prepared with my own little hospital gown i helped mommy concentrate during labor and boy was she grateful after all that motivating though i think i was more tired than she was it was quite an experience for all of us even though i have to share mommy and daddy s attention with natalie now i love my human sister lots thanks everyone for all the support posted by molli at 5 56 pm 13 comments thursday january 8 2009 lots to be thankful for so here i find myself little ol molli at the beginning of a new year hello 2009 i can t believe what a great year it s been sure we ve had our fair share of challenges but 2008 was pretty darn good all in all we went to san francisco and north carolina mommy s back finally got better mommy started a new job daddy earned a promotion we officially became a mac family we met lots of wonderful new friends like our lovely auntie becca we got to see old friends like leslie josh sunil and mic we spent lots of time with our good friends maita auntie m and uncle oidon we had lots of quality time with our grammas and grampas and finally mommy and daddy engineered a human sister for me so here we are now my lovely friends like gracie and auntie becca totally spoiled me cesare and len s greatly entertaining annual letter in which i was mentioned was read and tucked away the christmas tree which zoe helped me decorate was put away and mommy and daddy prepare to bring a new human life into the world with the support of their awesome friends as we begin the new year we want to make a point to say thanks to whoever is out there listening watching reading there is so much to be thankful for but our friends and family are the most important human ones plastic ones glass ones and otherwise old friends and new ones time that mommy and i post a long overdue update let s get down to business shall we mommy s feeling great now that things have slowed down to a more manageable pace in the fall mommy was feeling stressed because there was so much going on daddy always the one with the best ideas suggested going to north carolina for thanksgiving weekend yippee on thanksgiving day we set off for some exploring now everyone is gifted in their own unique way i for one am gifted in finding sweet treats and other such yummy things so of course i managed to find an ice cream shack on our way to a waterfall it s too bad it wasn t open i guess people don t want ice cream with their turkey despite that we still took some pictures mommy and i especially liked the ice cream string lights they re so charming and nostalgic then we headed back to the house to relax a bit before dinner we played some scrabble but the game was short because daddy really isn t much of a scrabble fan why you ask well even with cute little me in my house of pinku dress for good luck daddy seems to have the worst luck with his tiles we decided to have our scrabble moment be picture 48 365 for the 365 days blythe project here s the point at which he decided it was time for dinner and no more scrabble hee hee i didn t argue after all i love food and we had soooo much so much of it it was a bountiful feast of tofurkey green bean casserole mashed potatoes stuffing corn bread corn sweet potatoes and pumpkin pie yummy on the day after thanksgiving we woke up to find deer in the yard we were amazed at how close they came to the house they were so pretty zeldy really liked them a lot and insisted on feeding them some corn and then we went antiquing a favorite activity of mom and dad s mommy took picture 49 365 for the 365 days blythe project to remember the fun that we had together me la la la off we go mommy molli what do you have there me why my nifty someofmyorange purse of course mommy i see that but what do you have in it me an extra pair of clean underwear of course mommy why do you have underwear in there and where is your money me silly mommy everyone knows that you should always be prepared with an extra pair of clean underwear plus you re paying for the furniture and stuff i save my money for cupcakes mommy only you molli sigh only you after all that antiquing we worked up a fantastic appetite and headed to downtown asheville for some yummy eats we usually go to laughing seed cafe but thought it would be fun to try something new maita s friend jennifer recommended tupelo honey cafe and i must say that we all enjoyed it immensely the grit cakes are awesome and as with any vacation it all had to come to an end on our way home we stopped for one last picture with some cute cows on the side of staying warm as we transition into the winter season time for a good ol molli update to commemorate my first venture out of the house in a long time mommy snapped this at ice for picture 47 365 for the 365 days blythe project so the title of today s blog post may leave you thinking of tasty sauces and bbq but this is for a new addition to our happy family i present to you the beartastic kc masterpiece on the day of his arrival butterbear molli who is this huge bear he says he s a courier of some sort but he s not carrying anything interesting like cupcakes or candy molli hmmm thinking a long time ago mommy and daddy did a grown up thing called dating after six months of all that nonsense daddy bought mommy a special bear this bear would take mommy s kisses to daddy for her so he was called kc for kiss courier butterbear ewww grownups kc should have been cc for cootie carrier instead molli i know right anyway kc went many places with mommy sadly though he didn t make it back after one of their trips mommy thinks he wandered off in hawaii or south africa and she was totally heartbroken butterbear so who s this guy then molli well he s a different kc even though they are very very similar his name is kc masterpiece see here s the original kc in hong kong butterbear so he s a similar but different kc molli yep butterbear i get it now so i suppose i should go make him feel welcome then molli yep butterbear walks over to kc masterpiece uh hello there bear in sheep s clothing i hear your name is kc masterpiece welcome to our home kc masterpiece nice to meet you butterbear now just remember i m still top bear in this house blah blah blah and that is the story of the beginning of kc masterpiece s life with us mommy s still misses the original kc but she loves kc masterpiece lots and daddy even more to further boost daddy s rad ness rating tonight daddy surprised us and mommy i suppose with some yummy goodies from our favorite atlanta cupcakery sweet pockets we all showered him with hugs and kisses for being so downright awesome ramona made sure she got dibs on their special flavor of the month it s totally fall inspired pumpkin snap has pumpkin cake with ginger buttercream and is topped with crushed ginersnaps yummy since our last post mommy s been spending most of her time on grownup stuff she has been setting aside time though to do some fun things last weekend we went to the holiday indie craft experience with jessica aesop and jessica s new girl we got to see auntie m maita and other good friends while we were there we had a great time seeing all the awesome crafty goods if we had a money tree we d have brought one of everything home with us an interesting part of the day was when we met a semi nude dude at the fluffy flowers booth i believe he was the official spokesdoll for their doll pillows he was wearing a harry potter sweater so he couldn t be all that bad but no pants risque that pretty much wraps up our recap of recent saturday october 18 2008 hello my long lost pals hello there all my long lost pals out there you ve all been so kind to ask about us we re so sorry to cause people to worry i haven t been able to blog much lately because mommy s had her hands full with some new developments in her life we should probably fill everyone in let s start with today and move backwards shall we today was the atlanta halloween blythe meet and it was a total blast we really missed some of our regulars but we got to meet some great new folks it was so much fun we ate swapped crafted and talked lots looky looky here dianne crocheted us these awesome little pumpkins cute pumpkins should be worn not just displayed that way they will always be with you and never get left behind so i told mommy to make mine into a headband mommy liked my idea so much that she snapped one for picture 46 365 for the 365 days blythe project lookit how adorable we all look with our pumpkins and headbands there were so many lovely goodies from everyone i will be fat and happy all the way until halloween thank you thank you thank you along the lines of other developments in mid september mom and dad visited auntie m and uncle oidon at anime weekend atlanta recently i got to go too and we had a good time i tried on a blythe hat that auntie m made for humans to wear humans sure do have large noggins and on to the more serious stuff around the beginning of september mom started a new job she s still at the same company but just in a different area it s been really different for her she loved her old job lots and lots but she really wants to build her resume with more accounting experience to complement her finance work gee whiz adults are so complicated and serious all i want is to add some more cupcake eating to my food experience she s such a dork that she freaked out when she found this vintage calculator at an antique sale intown yes only finance and accounting nerds collect calculators on top of her new job mommy is taking 7 credit hours this semester which leaves her way too little time for me boo and on top of that she s still doing shows and festivals with her jewelry business there was the candler park fall fest last weekend next weekend will be the avondale autumnfest and then she has the paideia art visions show in november when will the craziness stop i have no idea daddy and i keep trying to tell her to slow down but she is as stubborn as they come and finally mommy is getting really fat it s all in her belly she says it s because she s growing me a sister zelda ramona and saturday september 6 2008 a new cuppy on the block and beep beep boop boop to you this thank you is very long overdue willy nilly waterlily and mom had another fun swap recently and the loveliest package arrived as everyone knows we love everything that rima makes our package was hawaiian themed and we were so excited it takes me away from drought ridden atlanta mom tried to find a prettier picture opportunity for us to show off our pretty new dresses but we sadly don t live near any water or scenic places i hope she ll consider taking us to a tiki bar or something for some tropical fun hint hint mom and we have a new kid on the block meet mr cuppy isn t he the cutest ever i ll have to go give butterbear a hug for reassurance that i still lubs him mr cuppy is just so very very very cute so we should really catch up on last weekend too don t you think dad went to dragon con with his friend jason last weekend they saw the ever famous parade hmm captain america s a bit chubbier and sweatier than i remembered and they saw lots of geeky yet cool gadgets and toys and ogled lots of costumed babes but thankfully mom had nothing to fear even with all the flatbellies as neal boortz likes to call them around daddy made sure to let her know she was still on his mind when he found out that andy runton was there he brought home a signed copy of an owly graphic novel ever since jessica introduced us to owly we ve been totally nuts about him he s the sweetest little owl ever everything about owly gives me the warm fuzzies because he shows how friendship and kindness make the
