a little african magic a little african magic treading my footsteps on african soil pages home country living about contact wednesday july 7 2021 bayview villa st francis bay eastern cape well hallo friends this is my first post in a very long time and certainly the first since moving to my new life in the eastern cape in the little village of st francis bay i sold my farm in september and flew down to st francis bay in october to view the house i saw on the internet and bought it on the spot i liked that the main bedroom is upstairs with a balcony where i can watch the whales dolphins and orca play in the bay below i can actually hear the dolphins blow and jump in the sea below me a bit different from the bush and elephants rhino and buffalo you bet but what a fabulous change i took 4 months off and just explored my new surroundings and bought beds and lounge furniture bedding etc for my new house this place is so spiritual it is unbelievable walks on the beach by the river mouth the rocky harbour to harbour trial and the sand dunes at shark point we have a lighthouse nearby too the weather is completely different here and i love lying in bed at night and listen to the easterly wind howling around the house i love seeing rain on a fairly regular basis i love the fact that even in december i have never been so hot that i worked up a sweat i named the house bayview villa and rent it out to people on holiday fom time to time i also started a small business cleaning houses and gardening this is still in the very early stages but i love it so there you have a work this morning i met this friendly cattle herdsman with his dogs look at that baby both his dogs and himself were very happy to oblige and pose for a photo scrolling through old pics of my kids i realised there is one thing i taught them very well tarien and her friend analise jessica and her husband the two sisters on holiday in singapoer and bali in december a stunning picture my friend to facebook share to pinterest tuesday january 17 2017 life s ups and downs such i have taken a very long leave of absence from my blog and i am going to give you all a very brief explanation as to why it is called divorce the husband left sued for divorce and that is all that i am going to say about that i have been living on my own for almost 2 years now and have worked through the tedious process of grieving i am now in a very happy place where i have discovered the world of a bachelerette singlette dating boyfriends and all that stuff i last did as a teenager and having lots of fun change of lifestyle a bit yes i still live on my farm and chose to make and embrace a new lifestyle for myself in short i cried me a river and moved on some certain things that kept me sane throughout the process of healing were the two most beautiful daughters in the world the eldest likes to go hiking with me in the mountains often taken a friend with the youngest loves to do and talk about anything horsey with me being able to go to rock shows on my own and returning home in the early morning hours visiting with friends on their game farms and inter acting with baby rhinos my ponies tuesday august 11 2015 lunch at the junction things have been going pretty steadily here as always a good lunch on the porch of my favourite restaurant close to our home sitting under the huge chinese lanterns blowing in a gentle breeze watching a pod of hippo moving past in the river just feet away the river is rather overgrown with hiasinth at the moment just thought i d share the wigwams with
