razor the advertisement caught my eye when i opened it up and saw more ads i knew it was coming home with me the next item i found was a perfume bottle i later found out my great grandmother who s nickname was tootie used the exact perfume that i bought so it will stay on my shelf in memory of her even though i did not meet her i here a lot of stories from my family and now whenever i look at a reply she is the one named sailor posted on march 10 2014 by allie bells reply well apparently sailor moon is now vintage so it is safe to blog about it here but i would have done it anyway sailor moons was a 90 s anime cartoon they made so many things toys plushies video games toys even a garbage can just look on ebay the sailor moon universe consists of manga which are japanese comic books anime which has 5 seasons one never dubbed which means wasn t brought over here including 3 hour long movies then there s live action episodes and musicals they just started to bring sailor moon back they started with the manga which is now finished we are all hoping for the anime to come back but they keep pushing back the date sadly there is also a whole fandom for sailor moon fan fiction in which people can right their own story with the original characters as well and fan made characters called oc s i even have a few here is an example below here is some of my sailor moon collection i 19 2014 by allie bells reply i learned a new term in sewing this week i had bought a piece of lingerie and thought they where just ruffles but it is called ruching it s a way of bunching fabric to achieve this effect you gather fabric in repeated fashion to form pleats it adds style to a piece it is a very tedious technique that has been used throughout history here is an example of beautiful pick them up from thrift stores and garage sales some of the art on the sleeves are amazing in fact they usually catch my eye like this one i bought the other day the cover wacked me over the head with the graphics the other reason for collecting is if it has a personal connection with me like this one my dad found it for me at a self owned thrift store i have a connection with this particular record because it was one of the musicals i was a part of on high school it holds a big part of my school memories then there s just collecting for the heck of it whatever it is that you want to grandparents with the elkhorn flea market on the first day was saturday we set up right around one 1 00 pm after helping with that i decided to look around for a bit and saw i few things that i loved but couldn t afford on both days of the flea lots of people wouldn t let me take photos of any of their stuff which is understandable one of the items i loved was an art deco table shown below art deco table i loved this table art deco mixed with naked ladies done but sadly my pockets weren t big enough dress form with newspaper print this beautiful dress form covered with newsprint fabric caught my eye and then the tag lead them away all of them that where there where in my opinion overpriced fire extinguisher lamp i thought this was so cool an old fire extinguisher turned into a lamp
