the youngs the youngs monday october 17 2016 disneyland we didn t plan to go to disneyland this year but when i was trying to think of what to get andrew for father s day i knew the only thing he would really want is a trip to disneyland so i planned a trip to disney makayla already for the flight the seats were two to a row so makayla sat with me keegan sat with grandpa and tanner sat with daddy the kids loved having a bunk bed in the hotel room and we made it to disneyland sleeping beauty s castle at disneyland always seems tiny in comparison to cinderella s castle at disney world that we re so used to makayla and mommy always do some window shopping while the big kids go on rides like space mountain updated for the season as ghost galaxy all the kids loved driving their own car on the autopia ride watch out for tanner and keegan only 8 years until he can really drive but really makayla gave the worst whiplash keegan and grandpa on autopia tarzan s treehouse tanner s turn to window shop the voodoo man from princess and the frog keegan s favorite princess movie gotta have a picture with walt buzz lightyear space ranger spin tanner daddy and keegan grandpa too the boys picked out their hats tanner never likes hats so this was a big deal for him sadly he lost his hat at the airport on the way home so this is all we have left of it it s a small world one of the longest waits we had since it has no fast passes we even got to see the parade of characters at it s a small world that only comes out every 15 minutes since we waited so loooonnng our first night we had dinner at cafe orleans and got andrew s favorite meal the monte cristo which is basically a donut with deli meat since we went at halloween time again we got a picture with this cute pumpkin mickey the kids really wanted to ride the carousel it s the same as the one s in the mall i do california screamin once every year and that s more than enough for about five years luigi s rollickin roadsters an new ride since our last visit grandpa and tanner on luigi s ride andrew and his dad in cars land ice cream for everyone except keegan who doesn t like ice cream he ate his churro while we waited in line for ice cream and finished before us so he decided to rest with the extra time he got lots of attention for this not the first time keegan has fallen asleep on the ground at disney good thing they clean the ground every night the kids just before they did a little tractor tippin on mater s junkyard jamboree daddy makayla on mater s ride makayla didn t ride with anyone but mommy much so this was a big deal our artistic pose in front of mickey s spinning wheel at california adventure it was all the photographer s idea and keegan talked us all into going on grizzly river rapids before we came to disneyland so we knew what to expect our little princess prompted us to have a princess dinner at ariel s grotto we got to see ariel of course and then rapunzel belle was there too even keegan s favorite princess tiana was there but makayla s most favorite was cinderella cars land at night we got to see a special sneak preview of moana in the it s tough to be a bug 4 d theater toy story midway mania always high on our to do list tuck roll s drive em buggies the infamous site where makayla wet herself in her cinderella dress not a happy ending there tanner didn t get to pick the car we rode in on flik s flyers tanner talked me into letting him get candy corn colored cotton candy while makayla was napping and keegan was on a ride trying on a yoda hat to see the classic characters we ate dinner at goofy s kitchen minnie came to see us at least twice chip only came once but his brother dale came a couple of times at least too andrew s favorite was of course pluto radiator springs racers was our favorite ride in cars land and we got this fun shot in front of tower of terror next time we see this ride it ll be decorated with a guardians of the galaxy theme another one of the rides i only do once we finished fantasy land in just about an hour by arriving at park opening we got on this ride casey jr s circus train as well as about 6 others like dumbo s flying elephants we had such a fun trip and were glad andrew s dad could join us next year we ll be heading back to florida for a family trip to the beach and will make our disney trip at disney world
