andrew ashley madsen andrew ashley madsen monday january 14 2013 our hawaiian babymoon andrew i planned a babymoon during my 2nd trimester knowing this would be our last chance in a long time to steal away and vacation with just the two of us to somewhere warm and tropical my mother in law sister in law and sister all pitched in to help watch madsen while we jet setted off to hawaii for eight glorious days we spent three days in oahu and five days in maui i was an absolute wreck anticipating leaving madsen for so long but the moment we got on the plane i never looked back i missed him with all my heart but knew i needed to soak up every moment of this amazing opportunity to just be with my lover alone we both can say this trip was perfect in every way in a lot of ways it was even better than our honeymoon i think we just appreciated everything so much more staying up late sleeping in meaningful conversations over leisurely meals and the ability to do everything spontaneously that is an absolute luxury when you are a parent never once did we have to worry about naps or turning in early at night or rushing through ours meals this trip was heaven on earth period pearl harbor uss byu while living at lanai we dated for 18 months and married february 23 2008 in the salt lake temple we currently reside in our first home in south jordan and recently welcomed our first child madsen on march 1 2011 andrew currently works for the federal deposit insurance corporation as a bank examiner and i work part time at intermountain medical center madsen 2 months old at his two month well check visit madsen weighed 13 1 lbs 80 and measured 23 tall 52 he continues to be such a delight and so easy to love we joke that he is our 101 baby he eats 5 oz every 3 4 hours and and at night has one 4 5 hour stretch of sleep followed by another 3 hours he is very smiley loves to coo and say a goo he absolutely loves to play under his einstein play gym and can reach up and touch most of the toys we literally see him growing by the day now that he is starting to wear 3 6 month clothes it s only been 2 months but he is already beginning to lose that newborn look i wish i could keep him
