available under an open source license which allows anyone to freely improve upon it read more community resources forks and attribution aros is developed as an open project and forks and downstream distributions are permitted under the terms of the aros public license apl accurate attribution of upstream development is a fundamental requirement of that license and is essential for maintaining transparency for users developers and third party contributors in recent cases forks have been presented in ways that blur the distinction between upstream aros development and downstream work this includes cherry picking upstream commits such that they appear to originate from the fork as well as distributing binaries that are incompatible with upstream aros while being presented as equivalent or interchangeable these practices misrepresent the provenance of the work and actively divert third party development support and contributions away from upstream aros development to the detriment of udp6 multicast and modernized the tcp code with sack ecn pluggable congestion control including cubic syn cookies and isn randomization added a new roadshow compatible firewall ipf ipnat with a brand new firewall prefs gui and reworked the network prefs gui with per interface ipv4 ipv6 configuration updated the dhcp client with dhcpv6 and zeroconf support and added or rewrote the route nslookup ip netstat traceroute and usergroup library userland components along with a systematic memory safety and security hardening pass across the whole stack implemented xhci usb 3 x support first inside
