about being 30 i think i ll take a moment and celebrate my age the ending of an era and the turning of a page now it s time to focus in on where i go from here lord have mercy on my next 30 years thinking about what i want to do in the future i came up with a list of things i want to do this is a list of interesting fun challenging things i want to do before i die scuba dive the great barrier reef visit greece sky dive further my education go for a ride in a hot air balloon swim with sea turtles explore catacombs learn to play guitar visit istanbul spend the night in a haunted house visit rest some highlights dashboard confessional concert in feb brauns visiting visiting the brauns going to idaho and yellowstone giants games disneyland for thanksgiving surviving a summer at ecofirst and getting work with krystal and erin bank interest tanner miskin mason braun natalya miskin nadia miskin porter braun bank reunion ashley krystal natalie brittney nadia made it in there too and alexandra in utero here s a shoutout to all my nephews and niece i only mentioned mason before but here are all of them plus uncle steve l to r steve hanlon hannah grace senior 13 mos elijah senior 3 december 13 2011 30 days to 30 day 29 lyndsee simpson cordes sarah neeley culp me natalie mathie the only 1 of 9 bridesmaids that wasn t married alan and karina feurelein 2010 started and ended with a wedding for me two of my very good friends got married karina in january in san diego and kelsey in december in oakland i was lucky enough to be a bridesmaid in both weddings i m way past the 3 times a bridesmaid never a bride thing i m hoping it resets every third time haha i was able to attend both sealings what a simple beautiful ordinance to seal together a couple for eternity krystal erin emphasis on first because i will be going back krystal and i made a promise to each other that we would go once we graduated college it took us a few years but we saved up our money and went it s hard to sum up the trip in one blog post i have lots of pictures on facebook but mostly it is the memories and experiences that i had i love to travel but being away in foreign countries definitely made me miss and appreciate home i kept a diary all along the way here s an excerpt from an entry about paris one of my very favorite cities from our tour 7 july 2009 mercure hotel la defense 5 paris what an exciting and full day we had yesterday we had a sight seeing drive around paris yesterday morning with our guide odil she showed us lots of interesting places like the roman baths and roman wall both in ruins of course we saw the sorbonne oldest university in paris and dedicated to humanities the pantheon the hotel des invalides where napoleon is buried and tons more then to the eiffel tower what a grand structure we rode the elevator to the second deck we got to skip most of the lines a part of our tour group i loved to see the views from the tower it s a different perspective that is what odil tells us is important in paris how for example you can stand at the arc de triomphe and see all the way down the champs elysees to the place de la concorde and up to la defense arch there are many of these beautiful perspectives throughout paris our tour covered so much and went by so quickly that i feel like i really only got a tiny sampling of most places i will definitely be going back 30 day 27 2008 was an exciting year for me one of the most exciting things i did was to go see wicked at the pantages theater in hollywood i was introduced to wicked in 2005 by my friend neighbor mikelle ostler and i ve loved it ever since i first got hooked by the songs popular and defying gravity i went to see the stage play with kelsey noll and eric lloyd they got their tickets before me so i ended up sitting by myself wicked is absolutely amazing and i was so giddy watching that i barely even noticed i was sitting next to strangers watching it made me feel like a kid after the show we waited by the stage door and got to meet some of the cast and get their autographs on our programs pre american idol adam lambert played fiero that night so i got a picture with him as well as megan hilty glinda i was amazed by our elphaba caissie levy i couldn t stop smiling after the show the whole experience was really exciting a great memory i listened to some wicked songs and watched a few youtube videos of wicked megan hilty is hilariously over the top as glinda when we met her backstage i told her i thought she was better than kristen chenoweth the original glinda here are some
