a time 4 art skip to main skip to sidebar tuesday april 28 2009 mixed media art doll pendants these are a few of the mixed media art doll pendants i have created most of the pieces are created from metal beads charms and polymer clay of course they all have names first is love my maryjanes second is cat woman third is moon maiden most of the metal has been either rusted or antiqued with some this is a 5 for 5 swap and i chose felt to make my atcs with normally i needle felt my wool to a piece of felt but in this case i made a wet felted background piece that i cut into atc sized pieces and then needle felted my flower onto that i further embellished the atcs with beads and perle cotton thread the back is then lined with a piece of felt that has been buttonhole stitched to the front thursday march 19 2009 signs of springs notebook i guess i m on a small book thing once again i ve created a small 3x3 notebook as a hostess gift for the signs of spring swap and once again i ve used with my leftovers from various projects the pages are card stock weight paper that resembles chipboard this will be given as small hostess gift and was a great way to use up more of my stash it went altoids tin and then partially covered the top and base with rust colored painted paper towels i then covered all of the rust with golden matte gel medium to prevent the rust from flaking off once it of a fabric atc a puzzle piece and a small doll she also sent along a pink inchie that is just adorable and the first fabric inchie that i have received i love the doll with the stamped face and she also included some of the fabric she used so i could give it a try the back of the doll is also made from a rusted fabic that she created i m going to have to give that a try the atc has a crazy quilt base tlhat has been beaded the puzzle piece is set off with a vintage photo and some glittered and felt like embellishmets i ve also included a photo of the extra goodies that she included and just bag first i wet felted the base of the bag and then needle felted the flowers and leaves next i did some free motion embroidery to pop the needle felting the borders were needle felted on and then i used the same fiber that i crocheted the strap with and used a button hole stitch to enhance the borders and sew the bag together i lined it with a hand dyed cotton fabric it measures approximately 6 master this craft so i just drew out a simple pattern and started the leaf is for a felt leaf swap which will end up being a book four more leaves to go but it s a great project for when you are just
