use on 3 challenges yeah first off i will enter it in the use your words challenge blog the sept 1st challenge was to use the word tough and this picture was perfect to use the work in my title such a tough life the i used the saturday steal layout at my scraps and more forum and made my layout stealing the layout they posted for the challenge and finally a favorite spot for me to go and do my girl layouts it s about the girls challenge blog where the challenge just announced for today was to use lots of flowers and i think i covered that with various flowers from the big die cut flower down to even a couple of tiny flowers in the letters for the title i think the flowers all over to me show how mylan took a nap in a shopping cart despite everything going around here while her parents were pinterest saturday september 14 2013 hi there the challenge at it s about the boys right now is black and white plus one color i love working with black and white and would usually use more just of the b w and the plus color as accent but i wanted to pul the blue out of gibson s shirt so decided to go with the blue as my background card stock and my plus color i had made the black border strip with the white punch for a b w swap in my yahoo group and this b w photo mat was something i got in the swap i just added some thin blue ribbon to accent the photo mat and the border strip excuse the color here it really is close to the cardstock color but i guess because of the shine of the ribbon it just looks different here then just added the black and white flower with white brad center for a little more embellie white glitter thickers for my title and white gel pen just for a little journaling on the mat i m also going to enter this in my yahoo group scrappin n chattin for our 52 week to pinterest friday september 13 2013 easter 1965 first off i love finding old family photos and these i figured out from the date on the picture april 1965 and the fact that bruce and i were dressed up and i had on a corsage plus i recognized that we were out in the street in front of my grandmothers house that this had to be easter 2nd after finding the pictures i love scrapping the old pictures and adding them to my albums i can just imagine my grandkids as adults looking back through these and see their grandmother and uncle bruce as teenagers i used the newest sketch at www myscrapsandmore blogspot com sketch 46 and also this will qualify on the forum challenges there for the tuesday trigger challenge to use a paper with numbers or letters on it love it when i can combine challenges fun to work with i wasn t sure at first about the circles but then did something different and cut them out as a scallop and then used a black marker to color in the lower portion of them i think this printed this picture ages ago after kai s graduation but scrapped all but this one so finally a couple of years later getting it scrapped it s a mad rush of colors and patterns but i like it i used the sketch at lets capture our memories blogspot sketch 36 i will be keeping this sketch to use again i really like it a lot it s so much fun to use a sketch over and over and see how i change it some each time then i also followed the challenge on the forum at my scraps and more for this thursday called throwback thursday where i had to use 3 different manufactures of collections at least a year old so i pulled the background paper from the basic grey collection out of print then the paper w the pale green blue polka dots are from pink paislee prairie hill collection the two chevron papers my card the base of the card is white but for some reason looks pale blue 1 the challenge is to make any type of card 2 the theme is to be related to your regions next season and of course coming up layering and layering with mats from patterned paper and card stock i love getting to use up leftovers and i loved the resulting look of this layout i also decided to use a 5x7 picture just so it latest pictures of mylan i had give her this music book a long time ago but it became her favorite toy lately so wanted to scrap these pictures i used the awesome new sketch 98 at www sketchabilities challenges i am so excited to say that i am on my first design team for a new scrapbook challenge site http www scrapping4funchallenges blogspot com the site went live today with our first challenge the first challenge was a color challenge with a recipe challenge included in it i used all the colors in my layout and the recipe was to use flowers mist or ink title journaling and dry embossing this was probably the very first layout i ve ever made using only cardstock didn t plan to do it that way but just started by pulling out cardstock in all the colors in the combo so i could just find a starting point for maybe the background of the layout but the i started working with it and like the look of only the card stock with the exception of the center strip the white is a wide ribbon and the light green is a strip of paper ribbon on top of it i had tried to mist on the light blue and just wasn t showing up so i just pulled out a blue ink pad and added some ink the dark blue triangle i used a fiskars texture plate and hand rubbed the texture on it then just added my flowers and did faux stitching around everything and my first design team project was complete so much fun hope to see first day of school i got these great pictures off of fb to do this back to school layout of my step grandkids i used the aug 16th sketch at www shopscrapmuch blogspot com i love the expression of blogthis share to x share to facebook share to pinterest swim i love it when a layout idea goes together well i searched and searched for this water paper knowing that i had a single piece left and finally i found it i think it pops behind the picture and just the right touch to the layout i used week 4 at let s get sketchy i actually got all 4 weeks of completed this month i try every month but usually miss one plus since i was the august spotlight this month i wanted to make sure and make them all i do admit this sketch by bev threw me a bit bit i ended up making it work i just used two pictures instead of one that the sketch showed i didn t feel like getting my cricut going well actually didn t want to clean the desk where it is so looked in my misc embellie stash for a banner i could trace and just cut out so i found some chipboard ones and was going to trace and cut in different papers and them remembered that frosted designs has a challenge going this week to use chipboard so i looked and i had 5 pieces of chipboard banner and used 4 of them for background of my tittle then i used some glittery thicker chipboard letters on the title and then kept looking in my stash and from another package found this chipboard journal box and it was the right colors and used it for my journaling love it when everything comes together and i mixed and matched so many different from last week my pages are sporadic to say the least but i wanted to make a page for the latest challenge at http week 2 week blogspot com the challenge was to have food pictures on your pl page last week was perfect for this as i had taken pictures while out to lunch on tuesday and then saturday when we grilled outside this is my favorite sandwich a breaded tenderloin it doesn t look as big here as in person i had already cut the sandwich in half and was about to fold it over to fit on the bun i need to remember to always go on tuesdays because that is when its their special and only 5 99 and
