leader holds canada first event feb 15 2025 1 mckenna stated that the conservative party coopted the liberal messaging canada first from the wilfred laurier government of the day 2 mckenna stated that pierre poilievre just started talking about canadian natiomnalism since donald trump became us president neither of these two statements are factual both are easily fact checked yet she said them ombudsman february 12 2025 bc blue cbc ombudsman there are multiple problems with the cbc article posted feb 10 2025 titled white nationallist books planted in little free libraries across ottawa walked around ottawa in february and just happened to discover white nationalist books 2 the activist in question is a federal govt paid activist 3 the book s title was never included in the story nor a photo of it 4 the activist in question has boasted on x about putting controversial books for teens in her home i have the screen shot this was obviously a publicity hoax yet the cbc reporter either played along with the hoax or didn t do any background checking on the activist in question either way faith greco must be fiired as does greco s editor who approved this fake story this has been a conservative supporters on x who objected to her personal attack on rustad as trolls cbc s journalistic standards strictly forbids this kind of social media behaviour personal use of social media when we use social media we should remember two of our principles impartiality and integrity we recognize there are specific challenges raised because social media create an intersection of personal and professional roles and identities with that in mind our journalists including casual and temporary staff as well as interns should consider the following in our social media activity we are mindful of our professional association with cbc we understand that should our social media activity create a perception of bias it would influence decisions editorial leaders make on who can cover certain
