robert the cat tm relaxing on one of his cat trees yes he has two in terms of work done this month well there s been quite a bit to start with there was an assignment from an online course draw be member of the clock king s gang the watchband but was fired for chronic tardiness the one unforgivable trait i didn t complete the course because it seemed to be heading into how to draw fan art some work on the project viz that s june s output a fairly short bit of action but there were lots of detailed movement that had to be done over and over until i was satisfied with them as you might of stuff until the last minute but i was running out of last minutes and so bit the bullet only one more bit to take care of because what s the use of a new month otherwise it s been a long while since december and i still don t have anything along the lines of a daily schedule weekly sure but i ve had that for years so that doesn t count still catching up on apparent years of missed sleep more work done on the latest project but it has been slow mostly because the section i m working on now requires some complex action and i have to figure out how to do that in 2d i have to invent various wheels and then re invent them because they don t work no stills to post as it s not all that interesting looking just a character lifting a lever and that s about it for may maybe some quite a lot of animation done i m up to approximately 8 minutes so far though i m not progressing as much as i d like i tend to work only at night mostly because i m tired a lot during the day nothing on the soundtrack yet but that doesn t usually take long and of course fixing the flaws take a look at the two stills below can you see the problem if you can t see it it s the area in the upper right on the first frame the upper edge of the gradient shadow drops below the frame making that sliver lighter than the image should be in the second frame this has been corrected i know what you re thinking who would notice that answer i would and it nagged at me until i decided to redo that section this was more work than i wanted but if you want to do something correctly the most interesting event in april was seeing star trek ii in the theater and afterwards there was a presentation with william shatner himself he s very spry and has a lot of energy you would never guess he s 95 years old aside from groping for a word usually a proper noun or name he s very sharp i went because as mentioned he s 95 and i figured there wouldn t be a whole lot more opportunities going forward now i think he might be around for another ten years or so the event was the first time i d been out in a public venue in years and it was really stressing me out to the point where i almost didn t go but i made myself do it and it ended up being a very enjoyable occasion and that was april can t think of anything further of interest and yes since you re undoubtedly asking robert the cat tm has become latest project which is nice and am kinda sorta settling into the new routine as always i finish something and a nagging voice says yeah but wouldn t it be great if something more complicated happened for most of the month i was content to do a lot of resting in the latter days however i was inspired to get up earlier and start work so what have i done not much still trying to get into gear but here are a couple of images that show some progress there s more of course but as of now they re not ready for prime time the second image is a work in progress still needs some trimming and tweaking what i ve done in february was work on several sequences turning from one to the other as i get bored or burned out so while there s been quite a bit of work little of it is ready for posting as noted illustrious career by which i mean i finally retired still trying to figure out the time scheduling thing but so far i m turning into a cat lots of sleeping napping and resting i m also getting more work on chapter two of happy it s coming along pretty well as you can see the journey is coming along fairly well i m working on other scenes that are not anywhere near to being done at least not done an exercise in can i do this without anything of additional interest but since i spent so much time on it i figured why not post it as mentioned it s kind of dull but there it is i then did more work on part two of happy finding that the break made me dissatisfied with work already done and revising previous work is always the lazy man s method to avoid moving forward but i managed a couple of
