blazing a trail skip to main skip to sidebar blazing a trail the blaesser way tuesday october 7 2014 my prince charming troy is a whole year old oh man what a year it has been full of ups and downs and so many changes i feel so lucky everyday to have been blessed with this little boy he is just the best thing ever even if he still wakes up between 5am and 6am everyday i am not a big party person especially for a one year old so i kept things simple for my little man when i saw a 20 castle tent at ikea it gave me an idea though we d celebrate our little prince charming because he seriously is such a charmer so i bought some streamers and crowns and my mom and i well mostly my mom made troy a dragon cake we celebrated with a birthday swim with nana carol papa jeff auntie sarah and cousin luca then had some pizza presents and cake it was a fun day i can say i learned so much in troy s first year of life i changed a lot hopefully for the better although there are days where i think adam might differ with you adam certainly has changed a lot i ve never seen him so in love troy is just his pride and joy and it is the cutest thing ever in the morning we filled his castle with balloons and he loved it he loved playing in the streamers tool eating pizza he enjoyed destroying it but didn t eat any and puffs celebrating with nana carol and papa jeff fun times with auntie sarah and cousin luca the cute cake before opening presents we sure love this little boy so much he s the best and we re excited for him to be walking soon posted by whitney at 10 07 2014 1 comment wednesday september 3 2014 summer wrap up i love summer love it i love the long warm summer nights days spent in the water and sunshine eating ice cream and staying up late troy s first summer is in the books and it was a blast highlights include a trip to venice beach to check out the scene there might i add that i had never in all my southern california life been to venice beach and umm might i add that i will never go back not that we didn t enjoy it but it s really just nothing special there are several other piers and boardwalks in so cal that are way better in my opinion family selfie the park on the beach in venice is pretty great a fun filled family 4th of july it was so great to have my older sister and her kids here to spend lots of time in the pool and at the beach we had a blast with them blue eyed boys kai is troy s biggest fan family fun in the pool sisters on 4th of july yay for cousins firework fun celebrating nana carol s birthday patriotic bunch 4th of july at the beach troy also had his first trip to the orange county fair adam scored a mystery shop where we had to visit 10 food booths 10 it was a little much and we tried to take food home but tossed a lot too fair food lovin the fair all tuckered out we took a few bike rides down to the beach to enjoy the fact that we live 1 mile from the ocean he wasn t a fan of his helmet at first but he does ok now sleeping baby in the bike trailer we spent lots and lots of time in the pool troy has become quite the water baby who doesn t love a baby in an animal towel like i said we had a wonderful summer i am so thankful to live in such a beautiful place and be able to enjoy it so much this year the best part is summer is actually hardly over after all we will have 70 80 degree sunny days for at least two more months so until the time changes and it s dark again by 5 we re going to soak it up posted by whitney at 9 03 2014 1 comment thursday july 24 2014 this kid i started a post right when troy turned 9 months never finished it troy will be 10 months tomorrow so i just thought i make this a quick one not as detailed as that 9 month one i had dreamed up but something to capture some of my thoughts for now here are a few things i love about motherhood and this stage troy has been crawling now for a little over a month he s just enjoying exploring all new corners of life and he s so fun to watch every morning troy and i share oatmeal together he loves it it took him a while to like it but now he just gobbles it up swimming tory loves the pool and so do i we ve had a very nice and warm summer so we go in a few times a week to make sure he stays my little water baby he s able to hold his breath longer and give lots of kicks post pool play books are troy s favorite thing to play with of his toy s anyway if he had his choice he d play with electrical cords all day long he loves to turn the pages and discover what s there he has an affinity for eric carle books i sure am thankful for all the board books we have we joined 24 hour fitness about 2 months ago and signed troy up for the kids club best 27 i spend a month troy loves it there and it gives me a little break and opportunity to get a decent workout post gym smoothie he just keeps getting cuter i can t stand it he loves to be chased he loves music and dance parties and he s standing on everything now he s not going to be a baby
