if we had let him at a year old logan is crawling fast everywhere and getting into potted plant dirt racing towards the stairs if the gate is left open or his big brothers room if their door is left open lego territory he stands while holding on and walks around the couch or on the toy shelf etc he has 2 bottom teeth and it doesn t look like he is getting anymore soon he is sleeping great and is an all around happy easy baby his favorite little car to play with is lightning mcqueen at 9 months or so he could pick lightning out of a pile of little cars every time we would even burry him he loves music and dances rocks back and forth and claps his hands to the songs his first word is uh oh and just learned to shake his head no whenever i am telling him no i must shake my head because now when i tell him no he starts shaking his head no so cute a year ago i was nervous and wondering what a third little boy a third version of us would be like this one is a keeper i can t imagine not and 12 months at least i took them at the correct times even if i didn t post them see his 1st birthday post for stats and what our little guy is up to written by casey 0 comments 7 06 2015 logan 9 10 months i am getting behind on blogging these days i think it has something to do with me having 3 active kids i missed posting about logan at 9 months so onward to month 10 logan is getting fast at crawling always smiling and crawling around the house he loves to go into the bathrooms gotta keep the doors closed his big brothers room play room living room where he likes to put his hands in the fireplace and kitchen where he likes to get into the dog food bowls he is keeping me on my sweeping toes any type of dirt especially fuzz from our rug and dust bunnies he puts in his mouth he loves to play in the play room especially with the toy kitchen opening and closing the little doors and taking the toys out of its shelves believe it or not at 10 months he is finally liking bath time he still complains a bit when he is first put in but then soon starts splashing with his hands that is better then when he used to cry the whole bathtime up until 2 weeks ago he was still getting up once at 3am ish to eat and then many times would wake at 5am crying hard but i knew it was just because he was tired it wasn t time to wake up i had been praying that logan would show signs that he could sleep through the night because i was getting nervous about letting him cry it out well one night he slept all the way through so i knew he could do it so the next couple of nights we let him cry and soothed him a bit then bam he hasn t woken up since and he now wakes for morning around 6 30am and happy no complaining an answered prayer he likes baby jarred food isn t too excited about my homemade stuff but is getting better he feeds himself baby snacks and crackers but if i put broccoli in front of him he just stares at it and like a true cajun he enjoyed gumbo ate it up he isn t staying any sounds besides a little repetitive grunts and spitting raspberries he gives me kisses when i am holding him open wet slopping kisses anything his big brothers do these days makes him laugh he is really starting to love them written by casey 1 comments labels baby kid home life 5 20 2015 logan 8 ish months a lot has happened in the last month for logan he has started crawling sits up by himself has 2 bottom teeth started eating food he s growing fast a few other things he is up to now that he crawls he loves to crawl to our fireplace and put his hand inside it where all the soot is gotta keep my eyes on him we play in his room a lot because it is about the only room i am pretty sure everything is appropriate for him no little legos allowed in there he is still sleeping in our room for a couple of reasons like he gets up at 3 to eat and his room is far from us i am too lazy to walk across the house to get to it still wakes and cries at night but not to eat praying he figures out how to sooth himself better soon loves his mama he practically lunges for me when jason has him and he sees me for the first time in the morning i love it he loves anything paper he sees on the floor books paper trash etc he has this cute spitting raspberry t sound he likes to do he may be a picky eater he hasn t been too excited for carrots or broccoli he will eat squash but it isn t his favorite he loves yogurt and likes sweet potatoes and i have actually had better luck at the jarred baby food in stores than me making him baby food he likes the store stuff i m soaking up all that is logan these days go too too fast written by casey 0 comments labels baby kid family friends home life 5 11 2015 a batman party our asher boy has turned three years old and to sum up his personality these days superhero he has fully embraced it all and loves to run and punch and throw and jump and fly like all of them his favorites are the avengers and batman for his birthday he chose batman and i think it all came together nicely i am not a huge fan of character parties but i think i did a good job of a batman theme that made our boy happy and didn t go over the top some details include the big 3 gold balloon batman balloon big black papered drawing of gotham city party favor bags tag made by me and his cake asher caught me looking up batman cakes on pinterest and he got very excited about all the very well done fondant cakes i was nervous his hopes were too high luckily what i cam up with he liked phew we had lots and lots of friends in our house to celebrate asher and it made me happy that we were able to do that i still feel so lucky and blessed that we have made friends here been here over 3 years i remember when we moved to aberdeen i thought there was no way we could become connected and have friends that is probably silly sounding but for an emotional homesick pregnant with asher girl i was it was a very real feeling happy birthday asher boy written by casey 1 comments labels handmade home life weddings parties 4 16 2015 logan 7 and a half months i am getting behind on my logan posting but these photos were taken when he was 7 months i love him to pieces when i hug him i take in deep breaths to soak up his yummy baby smell to remember it always because it really does go by fast this month seems to be the month where he is learning new skills and settling in to a good schedule he just started to crawl a bit this week he has been rocking on all 4 s for weeks but with the intense longing he has for the remote control it fell to the floor next to him and up and off he went taking 5 crawling steps or so he loves the wipes bag remote my phone and some big legos the most after a few attempts at food this week he also started opening his mouth willingly to eat food d hoping to try squash sweet potatoes and carrots soon one bottom tooth has cut through he still can t quite sit all by himself but he is getting better i found him sitting up in the corner of his crib the other night both cute and sad because he was crying and i don t think he knew how to get out of that position he is a fantastic traveler we just did a trip to london and i wore him all day in the ergo and he barely complained just cat napped bedtime was another story but we survived he loves and knows his routine when we got home from our trip i could tell he was easter up until easter sunday i had worn a jacket every day this year but easter sunday although cool was perfect not that other scot s haven t gone jacketless but i am a texas wimp and even the slightest breeze can get me cold most days so i am always prepared after church it was just too beautiful to go home so we did what anyone else would have done go through the mcdonald s drive thru and head to the beach the boys had fun with their cars driving through the sand and noah aka i don t like dirt mess things touching me or getting on my clothes took his shoes off and was running through home life 4 02 2015 spring brings new projects since logan has been born 7 months ago i have been taking it easy with everything and rightfully so that includes house duties and creative projects now that logan is napping for longer periods if i don t fall asleep on the couch i have some time to work on some projects on my make list between loads of laundry and dishes will my laundry basket ever be empty it seems to never all be done i made the big boys some new bowties for easter out of my liberty fabric i had been saving in case i have a girl wah wah i figure that s not going to happen so i put it to good use and i think this green color is perfect for this sunday i used jessica s tutorial here i added logan s profile silhouette to our entrance wall to think when i bought all three of these frames ikea i only had noah i knew one day i would use them all together for our children noah was 2 5 in his asher maybe 8 months logan just shy of 7 months they will all be updated again one day but i just love asher and logan s messy hair the easiest way to make a profile silhouette is to take a profile photo print it out from the computer the size you want trace the profile with a pencil makes it easier to follow a line when cutting then while on top of the paper you want to be the silhouette cut out the profile photo done i ve had this white bud vase for years and it had found its way into our storage cabinet for things we don t really use but maybe will need in the future i have seen a vase with this color combo and although it is very valentines y i love it pale pink on top ketchup red on the bottom with flecks of brown paint spattered on it with a tooth brush now it sits on my dresser and makes me happy when i see it i ve got more projects i want to work on including a big one i ve been putting off for years a quilt i started an inspiration board for it i am giving myself till the end of the year to at least start it h a p p y c r a f t i n g written by casey 1 comments labels design craft handmade home life 3 19 2015 child calendar station noah is a sponge these days soaking up knowledge in subjects at school and life skills he has always been an organizer a rule follower mostly since before he was two it started with organizing his cars carefully on our couch and now he shows these qualities in organizing groceries his bedroom playroom and even in his leaf and rock collections outside he loves lists writing and is starting to get the creative bug with these qualities i knew he would love a weather station print out that i found on pinterest while planning to make that for him i made him a calendar station too where he could see the full calendar month and also be able to switch the date each day i loved this weather station so much i wanted to make something that complimented it so i shaped the printed out pages to be similar and added some small clips at the top to be able to switch out the full calendar month each month the bottom section has a sliding orange bar that he can select what day of the week it is this idea i got from the weather station print out seriously such a great little design along with the full calendar that he can see there is a spot to put the specific day s date each velcro d piece is laminated there is no way it would hold up otherwise with my crazy boys he loves it he goes to his little weather calendar station multiple times a day changing the weather as it changes outside checking the calendar to see what day his dad will be home what will be the dates for the weekend etc i gave him some little post it s to write little notes about the day to add to the calendar i came to check on him after him being quiet for awhile and there were post it notes all over it but he wrote on the chart next to the post it s ha it s been graffiti ed but it is loved for sure written by casey 2 comments labels handmade 3 09 2015 logan 6 months babies are awesome and this one is tops he makes me want to have more his cuteness and squishy ness is too much logan is 6 months now and is testing the waters in getting on all 4 s that seems super early to me he hasn t even mastered rolling onto his back yet we will see what this month brings logan is sleeping 7 30 6am typically with an early feed around 4am he is a light sleeper which is new to us both big brothers slept solid through any noise typically i ve got to work on my stealth mode we are going to start some rice cereal with him in the next few weeks he loves play time on his tummy laughing smiling ear to ear and spazzing his whole body in delight it s fun to watch he may be a baby blanket type of kid he loves to suck on shirts blankets soft toys he will randomly laugh at his brothers doing simple things like eating gold fish he thinks it s hilarious he has rolled from tummy to back a few times but i don t think he meant to he gets on all 4 s and rocks while in his bed rarely does it outside of the crib still in our
