that little kyle is already 4 months old i just want her to stop growing and stay my 5 pound baby forever kyle went to her 4 month checkup at the end of december she is a growing gal and has doubled her birth weight already she s weighs 10lbs 7oz and is 22 25in long which puts her in the 5th percentile for both she is just a petite little girl kyle still hates tummy time but since that appointment we have been practicing and she still hasn t rolled over but she is getting a lot closer and she s getting better at lifting her head she has learned to turn her head to the side which could be a bad thing because now she just lays there kyle blows spit bubbles all day long it s the cutest thing ever kyle needs a lot of attention it seems like she used to entertain herself more but i can t really remember now she needs to have someone in sight or else she starts to yell and pitch a fit kyle is stubborn i wonder where she got that trait haha we recently switched her to her crib and it was a rough week she would cry and cry and cry she hated it i still don t think she likes her crib but she is doing much better now kyle loves to dance around the house with mom her favorite band is one direction she always has a huge smile when dancing to their songs at christmas kyle started to talk more and was making this super cute squealing noise but after we got home she stopped doing it she loves her dad and talks to him all the time kyle is getting much better at sitting in the bumbo we are looking forward to start feeding her rice cereal in the next few days kyle loves her cousin dylan when they are together they stare at each other smile and kyle can t seem to stop talking i love watching them interact kyle is now facing forward in her stroller she seems to like walks a lot more and she doesn t fall asleep quite as easily kyle gets to stay home with dad while i m at work and they both love it i m pretty sure that if i would let him cameron would give up working and going on to more school so that he could stay at home with kyle all day everyday we often fight over who gets to hold her especially if one of us has been at work all day kyle has been such a blessing in our lives and the best christmas present we could ask for i have completely turned into one of those moms that only talks about her kids and i don t even care kyle and her crib she likes to stare at the monster and its baby before she falls asleep swinging for the first time love her blue blue eyes and rosy cheeks dylan and kyle hey this is my stroller poor kyle we bug her a lot worn out after a big new years party she had only been awake for like 45 minutes kyle loves her feet she does not like to dance with her dad 1 comments holly jolly christmas since both cameron and i work in healthcare one of us is usually working on christmas this year we got lucky and neither of us had to work christmas eve or christmas day we haven t had christmas with family since 2010 so we were excited to travel to arizona to spend time with cameron s family over the holiday the whole keil clan was able to attend except blake who recent joined the coast guard and is currently at boot camp this was the first time in 18 years that all of the keil s have been together we had so much fun a keil gathering is always full of laughter food teasing food stories food and more food when i first had a meal with the keil s i was nervous i am sort of a picky eater and with their samoan side they tend to eat some strange things now i look forward to the leg of lamb potato and soda bread corned beef and most of all chop suey the trip was so much fun and we cannot wait until with get to see them again these photos are not in any particular order and there are a lot of them kyle playing with papa ashley and kyle ashley has a hard time remember cameron s name but she always knew kyle s kyle and dylan hanging out in their bumbos oh the food this is only about half of it the desserts all the cousins visiting saying goodbye to nana dylan s new snowsuit from her uncle cameron poor dylan was teething and sick but she sure loved chewing on that can ally ashley anisha and tegan making a poster to send to blake cousin night at the bowling alley cameron won with a high score of 151 which meant no doing dishes for him uncle mike in aunty lana s apron making bacon going to church kyle nancy great grandpa and dylan 0 comments monday december 3 2012 let the christmas festivities begin the dickens festival always has the best santa claus i was very excited to get kyle s photo taken with him this year after one unsuccessful attempt and some bribery we were able to capture this beauty poor kyle was quite tuckered out by the time she actually got to santa s lap dylan and kyle were a hit while we walked around the different shops that were set up we were stopped by multiple people that commented on how cute our babies were the most popular questions people asked us were are they twins and how old are they i was surprised that so many people thought they were twins in the photo below you can tell that they are very different in size kyle was asleep most of the time but dylan showed off her cute gummy smile to everyone someone even asked asked if she could take a picture of kyle with her really old mom as i was holding kyle next to the really old mom i realized how very strange this was people are wacky and don t believe that babies have personal space issues maybe they don t but i sure do all around it was a good experience merry christmas 4 comments wednesday november 28 2012 water baby cameron had to work on thanksgiving this year so kyle and i took a little road trip we went up to utah county to spend thanksgiving with my side of the family i was amazed at how well kyle did she really didn t cry until we got to orem after about 5 hours of driving i have gotten very talented at reaching back and putting the binky in her mouth while driving haha don t worry i only did it if we were stopped or there were no other cars around for miles we stayed at a hotel in sandy to have our thanksgiving festivities and of course i didn t take any photos of the actual holiday i did take kyle swimming cameron and i are huge water people so we obviously need to have children that also love the water the pool at the hotel was a tad on the colder side so i was worried that kyle wouldn t like it before after kyle didn t seem to notice the large body of water around her she was still just hanging out that s one thing we have noticed about kyle for the most part she is a pretty chill baby she lets us drag her every where and doesn t seem to mind unless she s extremely tired or hungry we sure do love this little girl here are some other photos just for fun 2 comments saturday november 17 2012 the big cheese so once kyle started smiling i have had this plan i would film the smile as well as get a picture of it and post it on our blog scrapbook good idea right yeah i thought so too i m having so much fun i see you got the camera out at least i tried right 1 comments friday november 9 2012 apple cider and caramel apples last week we decided that the adults of our family needed to have some fun we went over to braeden and alisha s house for some good old fashioned fun once kyle and dylan finally fell asleep we started cooking we had hot apple cider and caramel apples we had been trying to get together prior to halloween so that we could carve pumpkins too but we didn t quite make it in time mine and cameron s un carved pumpkins are still sitting on our porch so we just scratched pumpkin carving off of our list and stuck with food stuff we tried a caramel recipe alisha found on pinterest the caramel and chocolate kept falling off the apples but in the end they still tasted great the finished product as you can see the toppings are falling off obviously i can t write a post without a photo of kyle she s getting so big it s crazy i can t believe she s been with us for a little over 2 months 10 weeks to be exact kyle smiles all the time now except when there s a camera around surprise surprise kyle was ready for her nap kyle s new favorite seat in the house her bumbo 2 comments thursday november 1 2012 happy halloween halloween has always been one of my favorite holidays i love having creative costumes getting dressed up and obviously the chocolate this year was a little different because we had little kyle here to celebrate with us i wanted to do a costume that included all 3 of us and after much debate we were able to come up with me as peter pan kyle as tinkerbell and cameron as rufio from hook we had a lot of fun making these costumes together and hopefully this will continue to be a tradition for many years to come luckily for us my parent came into town the weekend before halloween and they were able to watch kyle while cameron and i went to the icu halloween party cameron even won the award for most original costume a very scary voldemort cameron and the walmart lady cameron dr lewis taub cassidy kyle also had her 2 month check up on halloween and she is getting so big she weighs 8lbs 6oz and is 21 inches long this puts her in the 4th percentile for weight and the 7th percentile for height even though she is still quite small her doctor is pleased with her growth kyle also had to get her first set of shots at this appointment it was so sad to see her go from playing and kicking the ma s to screaming in pain she only cried for about 3 minutes and then she sort of collapsed in my arms and made the saddest little whimper i ve ever heard kyle has been such a sweet little girl and we feel so lucky to have her with us she is starting to smile at us and it is so fun i haven t been able to capture a photo of it yet but hopefully i can soon she is a little spoiled and she really likes to be held and cuddled all the time i always said i wouldn t be one of those moms that holds their baby all the time but i find it
