the ruby weiss example either happens first or is at least shown to us first the parallels themselves are pretty clearly saying that ruby and weiss s relationship has something in common with multiple romantic relationships personally i think that something is that they ve got potential for a romance too although there are other ways to read that but the fact that the ruby and weiss examples often come first maybe it doesn t mean anything and it s just how the writing turned out maybe it s done that way to keep the whiterose setup as subtle mostly background easy to miss unless you re looking for it as it tends to be how much more obvious for instance would the pink petals have been if we saw them with ren and nora first and ruby and weiss second or maybe it s not that ruby and weiss are being compared to all these romances but that all these romances are being compared to ruby and weiss personally i find the middle one that it s done this way to make certain things less obvious most likely with the it doesn t mean anything option in second place in part but not in whole because ruby and weiss are the blueprint for the most prominent romances in this show is a claim too bold for even me to make i honestly don t have much hope for whiterose i think doing such a big ship now is going to feel anticlimactic after the bees but the degree to which it s possible and that the ship is
