you ve learned more about god as well as learning more about the person you did the plan with worship playlist we all have different types of music styles and that also applies to how we prefer our worship music don t get me wrong all worship music is great in its own way but we all have a preference to how we can genuinely worship god through music whether that be upbeat songs through hymns or how i prefer mine modern and contemporary worship songs whatever your style may be make yourself a playlist full of godly songs that will help you prepare your heart for what god is going to do in your life through what you are about to uncover in his word if you are searching and wanting to explore what style of worship you would want i have a playlist on apple music that is compiled with my favorite worship songs and you can see if you like any of the songs on it ways to explore christian music is through talking to some godly friends about their styles of worship songs looking through the top charts in christian songs and through attending church and truly listening to the words of the songs sang reading a chapter of the bible every day i sometimes use this method and i love it because it helps me know more about a certain book of the bible and really understand the background and history behind the time and place this all took place in just a few months ago i studied all of matthew and i learned so much about strengthening my faith and through the parables told in this book i was taught by god how i should be living on a daily basis i know many people like to read a few chapters of a book of the bible a day but you do whatever helps you understand the passage you re reading whether that be from reading one chapter a day breaking down each verse etc i promise through this method you ll get to know each person city story and god even more which will ultimately help you understand god s character deeper starting your day off right lastly through all of these methods and tips i ve given you i recommend to do your quiet time in the morning i ll be totally honest i rarely do this but it is my goal this summer to always start my day off with digging into god s word and praying about the day ahead because i believe that this sets the mood for the rest of your day whatever you learn through your quiet time in the morning you can apply to your way of living throughout that day and it can also help you feel more joy and peace as you encounter many different situations and trials as we will on a daily basis so even if you don t use any of the tips i ve given you which i m perfectly fine with i only ask you to try to do your quiet time in the morning maybe you ll have to wake up earlier than usual stay off of your phone for a while or wait to go to an event whatever it may be that is in the way of you spending intimate time with god devote yourself to always finding time for the one who gave you the opportunity to have time you won t regret it maybe this helped you or maybe it didn t but my overall goal through writing this post was to encourage you or help you find a way to do your quiet time like i said earlier do your quiet time however my daily routine living for myself who i talk to and share the gospel with and being comfortable in my faith is exactly how i described it comfortable this comfort is so relaxing to the point where we dwell in this peace and push away whatever disturbs or disrupts our comfort i find satisfaction and pleasure in my comfort zone knowing that i don t have any worries and that i m not having to do anything crazy honestly i bet that you are in your comfort zone right now maybe even pushing away anything that is trying to disturb your comfort but no matter how much you try to tell yourself that god is okay with you being in your comfort zone he isn t he has called you and by staying in your comfort zone you aren t fulfilling his purpose for your life all throughout the bible god uses people that are in their comfort zones by calling them out to fulfill his purpose for them these people are stepping away from their own selfish wants and desires and following god s will even when they don t know what will happen to them these people are ordinary everyday people just like you and me but they all did something extraordinary they became his disciples which we are supposed to be as well like i said these people were as normal as us but they all made the decision to be obedient to christ and do his will of telling the ends of the world about him these people lacked different abilities and even strong faith but hearing god speaking to them they worked to transform themselves as they transformed the society and culture they lived in even until this day god has that same vision he is still using sinful imperfect people to do whatever it takes for everyone to hear the gospel and to be able to experience the gospel the problem is that in our day and age we have became more comfortable in the american dream that we have forgotten that there are billions of people around the world that have literally never heard of god and his word without people like us going to serve them and share the good news with them they could be eternally separated from christ without ever knowing that there was a hope for them we always push away the idea of going on mission trips because there are already missionaries there or maybe god isn t calling me to go across the world but in reality every single person that knows god and has accepted him into their heart has been designed and commanded to do everything in their power to change the world through delivering the good news to all nations if we continue to sit back and let this happen we are not just doing what we were created for but we are also being disobedient to the creator i don t know about you but knowing that i have done wrong against god scares me thinking about judgment day and what i could be missing by being lazy and fearful of what could happen if i did attain god s calling maybe we should think more about what we will be missing out on than what could happen with all of this laid out i pray that you ll began to think about how we use our background headers on facebook and twitter to picture or describe what we like who we hang out with our favorite bible verse or just a picture of flowers but these backgrounds say a lot about who we are for our profile pictures we just put a selfie of ourselves smiling which can hide how we are really feeling or who we really are inside with our life profile pictures what you look like in real life we hope that others will think highly of our looks and appearance but what describes us most is what our life s background picture is a spirit of self control love and faith or a spirit of fear hatred and evil as humans we tend to focus more on our outward appearance making sure that the makeup we are wearing is perfect that the trendy clothing we are wearing looks eye popping and that we look like we have it all together our inward appearance is less important to us which leads us to selfish and worldly desires instead of leading us to become who god has created us to be in 1 peter 3 3 4 peter tells us that it is not fancy hair gold jewelry or fine clothes that should make you beautiful no your beauty should come from inside you the beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit that beauty will never disappear and it is worth very much to god in this verse we are commanded to focus on where true beauty lies within how can we ever live the spiritual hard it s hard to not hold bitterness anger or hatred in your heart when someone has done wrong against you it s hard to love someone for who they truly are even when you don t agree with their lifestyle or if you hear about their past we try to act like we love god and love others when we actually hold grudges against other people when we look at god s creation we quickly criticize how others look how we look or how others live and basically insult someone or something as we live a lifestyle of love and acceptance often we even look at god s creation and think about how beautiful it is and then we look at the mirror at ourselves and think about how ugly we are but not realizing that the same god who created the night sunsets and the oceans is the same god who made you me and everyone the thing is to love god you have to love his creation in genesis 1 31 god looks at all humanity and all of the earth and says it was very good now millions and billons years later god still finds humanity as his greatest creation he repeatedly tells us in the bible how valued and precious mankind is and how he loves everyone he has created but if god has commanded us to live like him doesn t that involve loving like him as well we don t think about how our love that we should have for god s creation isn t just about saying that we love god s masterpiece it s to show hospitality to talk about because i feel like we all struggle with it don t realize how significant it is to ourselves and to our daily walk with christ it s something i have started to think about and i have
