hospital this past week chloe has been very sick she was in the er 3 times and finally they admitted her this is the only picture that we took of her i didn t have my camera with me and i didn t leave her side to go home and get it she is doing much better now the doctors seem to think that this is the start of asthma she was wheezing so bad and was having a hard time breathing they put her on several breathing treatments and started steriods to help her lungs the albuterol the medicine they use in breathing treatments made her heart rate elevate and made her so hyper that she wouldn t sleep therefore if baby doesn t sleep mommy doesn t sleep either she was such a trooper she kept chewing on her iv tubing and pulled off her heart monitor multiple times we ended up having to put a sock on over her pulse ox meter on her toe because she would pull that off as well we are so glad that she is home now even though we have to give her lots of medicine and give her breathing treatments we are thankful that it wasn t anything more serious this picture is chloe in the wagon going for lots of walks on the pediatric floor she loved the wagon and enjoyed her walks we had to do something to calm her down after being hyper for so long we now will have to invest in a radio flyer wagon she looks so adorable in her little hospital gown posted by christi at 2 41 pm 3 comments tuesday march 10 2009 mexican cruise well i just realized how long it has been since i updated our blog shame on me that it has been almost 4 months where does the time go well anyways here are some pictures of our family vacation that we just returned from yesterday my whole family minus one brother and his family went on a week long mexican rivera cruise on royal caribbean we set sail on sunday march 1st and returned march 8th we went to cabo san lucas mazatlan and puerto vallarta we all had a great time so sit back relax and enjoy the pictures here are two of my brothers brian and mike the night before we left for our cruise this is derek bill s son and his girlfriend brittany they flew out from michigan to join us on our cruise this picture is taken on the pier in huntington beach ca we spent 2 days there before we boarded the ship bill and i on the pier in huntington beach i used to live there about 6 years ago we ate at ruby s at the end of the pier my cousin stephanie and her family live in costa mesa and they came to dinner with us this is stephanie and her daughter shelbie stephanie s 2 year old twins scotty and sydnie derek and brittany down on the beach my sister wendy and chloe at dinner on our first night on the ship my neice dani who is 17 and is getting ready to graduate from high school my mom judy my nephew anthony and my youngest brother brian at dinner bill and i at dinner finally we were on vacation someone else can do the cooking and cleaning chloe 6 months waking up from a nap she was so good on our trip she slept the whole night through don t know if it was the rocking of the ship or we just tired her out each day some mornings we had to wake her up it was wonderful chloe asleep in her stroller on the beach in mazatlan she missed her mon parasailing yep i parasailed it was so much fun for some reason bill didn t get any pictures of me parasailing oh well everybody should try it at least once bill and i on the beach in mazatlan bill and derek brittany enjoying a cold beverage while we were in mazatlan we renting wave runners this is bill and anthony getting ready to go out for a ride on the ocean bill and anthony bill and anthony again with my sister and dad in the background and they are off my brother mike watching chloe while she slept while the rest of us were either playing in the water or on the wave runners brian and chloe she didn t the sand very well bill in our jeep in puerto vallarta we went on an off road jeep adventure it was alot of fun me bill derek and brittany in our jeep in puerto vallarta we had to wear bandanas over our faces because it was so dusty and muddy in some areas we got to see some of the beautiful countryside in puerto vallarta and also got to see many villages and how the mexican people there live it was awesome bill and i doesn t it look like we are about to rob a bank brittany and derek we stopped in this little village and bought cokes they tasted so good made out of pure sugar cane yum yum bill and i with our cokes my sister watched chloe for us so that we could do this adventure together brittany derek bill and i brittany and bill at the tequila factory that we went to it was part of the tour our ship the mariner of the seas bill and i at some resort i can t remember the name of it we ate lunch here and then played in the ocean puerto vallarta bill and i again chloe fell asleep in my sister s arms at dinner isn t she so cute we think she is chloe is such a happy baby when she wakes up in the morning she loved being on vacation chloe and i went to a play group with other babies on the ship royal caribbean provides a great program for kids and babies so chloe and i joined the play group she loved it i absolutely love this picture of her chloe playing chloe having fun on vacation chloe again she loved this wiggle toy it made her giggle auntie wendy and chloe at the second formal night dinner brittany and derek bill and i at dinner derek anthony chaim and my mom at dinner wendy dani and chloe wendy dani and chloe again derek is happy that he gets the eat lobster tonight derek eating lobster bill and brittany they each had 3 lobsters this is only about 1 4 of the lobster tails that everybody demolished one good thing about a cruise is that you can eat whatever you want and eat as much as want can you imagine what that bill would have been like if we were at a real restaurant derek after eating 3 lobsters and whole bunch of shrimp dani mike s daughter on the second formal night isn t she beautiful this is everybody minus chloe who was asleep in her stroller this is the grand staircase in the dining room it looked the like the one on titanic ice skating on a crusie ship yep we had an ice rink on our ship this is anthony dani and wendy trying to ice skate i didn t ice skate because i would have fallen and broken something and i wanted to enjoy the rest of my vacation dani attempting to ice skate she actually did very well for her first time dani doing a great job don t fall wendy taking a break dani anothny and wendy trying to do twirls on the ice wipeout chloe sound asleep in her bed don t you just love how she sleeps with her hands behind her head that is how she sleeps all the time funny kid dani and wendy at our last night on the ship anthony my dad brian and chaim wendy bill and i on the last night of our cruise peggy my dad s wife mike dani and wendy anthony my dad brian and chaim dani eating yummy dessert the best part of any meal dani wendy and my mom judy my mom brian dani anthony chaim my dad and wendy with our waiter isidoro from india and our assistant waiter joseph from the philippines this was our waiter when bill and i were on this same ship for our honeymoon in the caribbean almost 4 years ago his name is madan and he is from india he recognized us and so we were able to catch up with him for a little bit this is chloe and her big brother derek she absolutely loves him they even look alot alike the next time he sees her she will be so big chloe on our way home so sad to be going home but we had a fun time and look forward to going on vacation again hopefully soon i will try and not let so much time go by on our blog chloe just gets bigger and bigger each day as a matter of fact today we fed chloe peas for the very first time and i didn t even take a picture of that another thing that i really need to work on making sure that my camera is ready at all times to capture those precious moments hope you enjoy all of these pictures there are many more but didn t want
