mcdaniel adventures skip to main skip to sidebar mcdaniel adventures thursday october 10 2019 who blogs anymore wow it has been a really long time i haven t been blogging for at least 4 years does anyone even blog anymore there has been a lot of thing going on in the last 4 years for starters the kids have grown so much jordan is a senior in high school brendan is a freshman sage is eighth grade and emmett is in the fifth grade we have had many broken bones from the 3 boys a ruptured spleen and a couple of surgeries luckily we are all alive and doing well for now last time i blogged sounds like i was in a bad place i feel like i am able to breathe better and hopefully start to get this mom thing under control i still have a crazy messy house but have learned to cope with it and not let it define me someday i will get it under control but for now i would rather have fun raising kids and not worry so much i have finally figured out my blood pressure and getting my health back i have lost about 40 pounds this year which has had the biggest impact on my health and confidence i am currently working at an online school and love every minute i work with some of the best staff and students brendan is still in a lot of therapies but seems to be improving all the time he has been so excited for high school and has had an amazing year so far jordan is doing awesome and had the opportunity to take some college welding classes and made huge gains sage is still taking piano and so talented she has been taking choir and loving that emmett is just a bug ball of energy and so curios he is still my little dennis the menace there is never a dull moment without him he has the most contagious chris and i are going to celebrate our 20th anniversary this year wow how time flies when you are having fun and creating adventures posted by joy mcdaniel at 9 09 am no comments thursday july 9 2015 spring break at the oregon coast wow how time flies by or maybe i am just lazy haha so it has been over a year since my last post there has been a lot of changes in a year i started working at the school this year and emmett has finished kindergarten crazy my baby is in school some days i miss having babies around but it is nice to have more dependent kiddos jordan finished his first year of middle school which was rough on us both he also starts grid kid football in august he had been begging me for 2 years to sign him up and i finally bit the bullet and did it to find out he has no interest and is even upset that i signed him up gotta love teenager hey mom s can t get it right haha sage has been taking piano and is getting really good she is so talented brendan had a bit of a rough year his seizures came back in october and he had a hard time keeping up in the general ed class so he is full time in the extended resource room he has made huge gains since and so much happier chris is still hard at work all the time and still manages to take us on crazy adventures that we all come home exhausted and happy winter recital i still don t think i have a handle on this whole house cleaning and chores for me and the kids but i think we have made improvements so slow but sure hopefully we will get there we still have our crazy goats and chickens that keep us busy we had 4 babies 3 males and 1 doe so not our best year but they are still so cute we finally put up a good fence and have been trying to flood irrigate this year and that has been interesting i never understood how sharing water could cause so many issues but boy it can really bring out the worst in people we also finished our chicken coop and planted a garden unfortunately still don t have any luck with keeping it to harvest something got in and ate all but the squash plants 2nd place overall and 1st in his class we were able to get together with all my mom s kids which was nice crazy stressful and enjoyable our poor spouses didn t know how crazy dysfunctional and lovable we are all at the same time i think we all had a really great time and was actually one of our better reunions love my crazy family we went all over east idaho it was a jam packed busy 10 days loved meeting new babies and we still have 2 new ones coming soon i think we had 32 of us at on one occasion kinda hard to believe that 4 kids can grow to that many posted by joy mcdaniel at 1 33 am no comments older posts home subscribe to posts atom followers blog archive oct 1 jul 1 may 1 apr 1 mar 1 dec 1 sep 1 mar 1 jan 1 dec 1 nov 2 oct 1 aug 1 jul 2 jun 5 may 6 apr 6 mar 2 jan 2 oct 1 sep 2 aug 1 jul 1 may 1 apr 4 mar 5 feb 2 jan 4 dec 3 oct 7 labels so we found out he s allergic to antibiotic s poor baby 1 trever 8 my blog list my blog list powered by blogger playlist
