life is one very vague question that almost everyone has stumbled upon with answering while most of us were growing up we were emphasised that we needed to have an ambition to be someone awesome such as becoming a doctor or lawyer needless to say that doesn t become reality for everyone as much as i had wanted to earn big bucks passion was pretty important for me and i could only envision myself doing things i like for a living like the quote says choose a job you love and you will never have to work a day in your life so after taking my o levels i naturally chose my favourite subject to study in polytechnic as a poly graduate having studied pharmaceutical and chemical sciences i later realised that it was not the kind of career i would want i had decided to work immediately after serving national service so that i could gain some work experience before settling down to decide on what i really wanted to do i went to work in the service line after being in the workforce for slightly over a year i have come to a decision to enrol myself into a school for further studies checked out kaplan s website and am drawn to the course bachelor of communication in public relations and management double major why so being in the service line can be really challenging yet satisfying at the same time we handle customers requests even the most demanding and unreasonable ones customer service is mostly about communication and i want to be better at that what attracts me most is that there is the option to do double majors these days employees are expected to be well versed and being average is really not enough i believe that choosing this double major degree will make me equipped with knowledge on how to communicate messages effectively to the target audience also choosing management provides me with skills on how to manage staff a little ambitious but don t we all not want to manage instead of being managed eventually with a double major degree i can be exposed to more career possibilities if one does not like one major s he can always have plan b by getting a job using knowledge in the other major but as you can tell i m putting both majors into good use by combining them together for my career what s even better about studying at kaplan the school offers part time studies something that many local varsities do not which makes it perfect for working students like me i can work in the day and attend school at night to me i feel that it s great for working adults who wish to upgrade their skills now you can advance your life goals with murdoch s double major degree and masters programmes offered at kaplan higher education on a full time and part time basis p s also check out the creative flash mob in promotion of their double major crabs are quite commonly seen in the intertidal zone for example in tide pools most species have long soft abdomens which are protected from predators by a salvaged empty seashell carried on the crab s back into which the crab s whole body can retract most frequently hermit crabs utilize the shells of sea snails the tip of the hermit crab s abdomen is adapted to clasp strongly onto the columella of the snail shell as the hermit crab grows in size it has to find a larger shell and abandon the previous one two etymologies exist for the name hermit crab one is from their habit of living in a second hand shell which is analogous to a hermit living alone in a cave the other is from a translation of the caribbean hermit crab s scientific name coenobita clypeatus shield bearing monk this species is one of a few that climb trees of about five hundred known species most are aquatic and live in varying depths of saltwater from shallow reefs and shorelines to deep sea bottoms however
