got a library card and explored the area a little bit it was supposed to snow the day that he was due to get back so to minimize the amount of driving that i had to do in the snow because we live in the actual snow belt i went to his mom s earlier in the day because he was going to get dropped off there when his flight landed however due to the snow and wind his flight ended up cancelled and i ended up kind of trapped at his mom s for the night because i didn t know the state of the roads back here and without knowing i didn t want to drive the roads at night so i hung out there until he got home late the next day he did however make it up to me because he brought me back a wand from harry potter world he did know what wand i wanted and got me the bellatrix lestrange wand now you might be asking yourself why in the world i would want bellatrix s wand for one i think it is one of the most easily recognizable wands and it looks totally different from all of the other wands bellatrix is also one of my favorite characters in the book and especially in the movies helena bonham carter is bellatrix lestrange to me she is so deliciously evil and plays the part so well to me favorite characters don t have to be the most likable characters ironically anthony got the sirius black wand for himself i just said that we live in the actual snow belt as i am writing this blog post it has been snowing since early this morning and we are expecting up to another 6 inches by tomorrow snow is not totally foreign to me growing up in cincinnati but the snow we did get pails in comparison to what we get up here i bought my first real pair of snow boots that i have had since i was a child today i will be testing them out i went for a cute but functional look living with my boyfriend has gone very well so far it s just now been a month but i am definitely happy to be up here minus the snow it s so wonderful to eat dinner together every night and see each other every day we have been together for over 3 5 years now and it feels so good to finally be in the same place i start my job next week and am so excited to finally be beginning the life that i have dreamed about for a while now i cannot wait to see what 2016 has in store for me my birthday is in a couple weeks and i know we will begin looking for a new place to live after i start my job i have so many goals for the next year and i finally feel like things are starting to come together for me last year was a bit of a struggle for me but it looks like the struggle is going to be worth it i hope you are all crm15084 since i moved to cleveland i definitely don t have as much as space as i did when i was living back in cincinnati my boyfriend and i are currently sharing a one bedroom apartment and he has already lived in it for two years when i moved in i only brought some clothes shoes toiletry items my makeup and my ikea alex drawers one of my first posts on the blog was about my makeup storage and it is one of the most popular posts on my blog my makeup collection has since grown and since i did not bring 99 of my nail polish with me i have spaced my makeup storage out more and thought i would share what my current set up looks like on top i have my mac lipsticks along with my urban decay and other more expensive lipsticks i also have a container of my mac palettes blush palettes and a couple other palettes i have been reaching for lately i also have my brushes on here and the teal drawer container the teal drawers have some of my every day products in it along with some others that i wanted to be in a more accessible place the first drawer has some of my complexion products in it the blushes that i tend to wear on a more regular basis are in this drawer along with my bronzers and highlighters the next two drawers are my palette drawers the first palette drawer contains almost all of my urban decay palettes lorac palettes kat von d cargo and some too faced the second drawers has some of my smaller palettes and more awkwardly shaped palettes the next drawer is still a bit of a mess and i really should clean it out some more it has the blushes that i don t wear as often and all of my other eyeliners that i don t wear on a daily basis the next drawer has my single eyeshadows color tattoos and wet n wild trios it also has all of my backup eyeshadow primers and a couple larger bronzers and blushes the last makeup drawer is a hot mess i need to get some more containers for it but there is not a container store up here and i haven t been able to find what i am looking for up here to get it more organized this has all off my too faced melted s in it along with mainly drugstore lip products my new anastasia glosses and lorac lipsticks are currently hanging beauty resolutions on things that i want to focus on in the next year i am not super strict about resolutions but i want to be mindful of these things in 2016 stop wearing so much foundation lately i feel like my foundation has been looking heavy i have been wanting to get away from the full coverage foundations but i had been working on using up my mac studio sculpt now that my studio sculpt is gone i want to start working my way back towards lighter coverage foundations keep using products up i have been impressed with my progress in the past year towards using products up and i want to keep that going especially now that i am no longer working in the beauty industry my purchasing of products should decrease and i should be able to keep trucking away with using products i want to be able to repurchase my urban decay naked 2 palette at the end of the year which would mean that i have used up more than half of the shades in the palette we will see how that goes keep growing my hair out since 2011 my hair has been on a bit of a roller coaster i got my first pixie cut in 2011 and absolutely loved it but when i have my hair short i want it long again and when it starts to grow back out i want it short again for the past year i have been working on growing it out again and i want to get it to my shoulders and be happy with it i have a color that i looooooove now and am searching for that perfect length that i love with that being said don t be surprised if i chop it off again get my makeup reorganized as many of you may know i just recently moved in with my boyfriend with the move obviously we are sharing limited space i was able to bring my ikea alex 9 drawer organizer but i did not bring 99 of my nail polish with me my goal is to get a 5 drawer alex to put my nail polish in but i want to get my makeup reorganized in a way that makes sense for me and my new space get my blogging schedule meshed in with my new life i did a heck of a lot better this year with keeping up returned back home to cleveland from our little trip to vegas yes my friends cleveland is now officially my home tuesday was my last day at my old job and my girls had the biggest surprise for me they all got together to get me my favorite candle as a housewarming gift and a 200 sephora gift card you read that right 200 as soon as they told me how much was on it i couldn t help but cry and even still when i think about it i still get choked up i worked with quite a few of them the entire time i was there and even a few of them for only a few weeks but it s so overwhelming to know that many people cared tuesday evening i visited with my mom and grandparents before my dad and brother helped me pack my car up i had to leave all of my nail polish behind but they helped me figure out how to get my alex drawers and all of my makeup in my little car wednesday morning i had to tell buster bye which honestly has probably been the hardest part he is the family dog so he is staying with my dad and brother but you can t explain to a dog why you are leaving hopefully it isn t too hard on either of us i made the 4 hour drive to my new home and got almost all of my stuff unpacked all that is left is my makeup but i didn t have time to start on it because we had to leave for the airport that evening we flew out to las vegas on what would be my first time flying ever and it was such a great experience i wasn t nervous at all and actually enjoyed it granted there was almost no turbulence but i probably couldn t have asked for a better first flight we stayed at the paris hotel which is a gorgeous hotel our room was really nice and the bed was insanely comfortable we got in around 9pm vegas time but that was midnight cleveland time so all we did was grab a snack and tour the hotel before bed time thankfully our bodies stayed on cleveland time because we were up at 7am thursday thursday was the day that we visited all of the casinos on our side of the strip my favorite was caesar s the casino seemed less chaotic the decor was interesting and of course there s there are the forum shops i will share my haulage in tomorrow s post as to not overwhelm this post i really would like to stay at the cosmopolitan in the future as well because it was just gorgeous that evening we had dinner at mon ami gabi which is a really nice french steakhouse at the paris the food was delicious and the boyfriend s coworkers are all wonderful friday we journeyed to the south end of the strip to check out the hotels casinos that way from there we took a short cab ride to in n out burger i must say i don t get the hype we have five guys around us and i believe i enjoy it more to get back we decided to try uber words of advice to anyone going to vegas uber your way around instead of a cab from new york new york to in n out which seriously was a couple minute drive it cost us 13 the uber from in n out to caesar s which is way further than new york new york was 7 we hung out with some of his coworkers that evening but didn t do very much because our flight early in the morning and we needed to leave by 745am saturday we made the journey back and returned back to the fabulous lake effect snow that you get up in the area that we live in because we don t really live near the city we are about an hour northeast of the city so it s serious lake effect snow up there that is the one thing i am so not excited about cincinnati gets some snow but it nowhere near compares to what i will be dealing with now i had a lot of fun while in vegas gambling is not my thing but there is so much other stuff to do it s so interesting walking around especially at night i definitely would go back and actually do hope to return to do some of the things that we didn t get to do
