and relax today s craft was a special order made for my neighbor she picked the fonts and the paper and then i got to do the creating i think these would be so fun to personalize for kids rooms i started with the letters i cut them on my cricut after the letters were done i then chose what size i wanted each board to be and cut the paper out accordingly i then took my paper and traced on the wood and cut out each piece i then figured out the placement of each board and drilled hoes on each side of the board i then glued 1 4 dowel pins into the holes i then glued all of the pieces together after the glue dried i then painted the edges and back of the boards since the paper would cover the front i then mod podged the paper to the boards and then added eye screws to each end of the plaque i then tied jute to each eye screw my neighbor was very pleased with how they turned out which was a nice relief for me since it s always hard when someone has a visual in their head and you try to doll clothes well one day cassdiy and i were bored so we decided to give it a go cassidy helped me sew the first two dresses then i went a little crazy with the sewing i found an old swimming suite and used every inch of it to make 3 new swimming suites cassidy helped me make the two red dresses and i made the middle one and the purple one below like i said i went a little crazy i even made panties and hair bows to match their dresses then i made shirts and more hair bows for them cassidy said that they needed skirts so i made skirts these last two we made to give to one of cassidy s easter wreath i needed an easter wreath for my front door i decided to make my wreath with fabric and i added it to an old cabinet door seeing this on my front door makes me smile it s a happy welcoming sight i will now show you how i made my wreath you will need to start with a styrofoam wreath form i decided to make my form since i had some styrofoam on hand i created my wreath by tracing bowls to get the size i wanted i cut it out with an exacto knife and then wrapped the form with ribbon i then gathered some fabric scraps and ripped into strips i then took the strips and glued them to plastic eggs i started at one end of the egg glued the fabric to the egg and then wrapped the fabric around the egg and glue it i continued this process until the egg was completely covered i used regular sized eggs and small eggs to create my wreath once i had all of my eggs covered i glued the eggs to my wreath form i even added ribbon for a fun variation i then took an old cabinet door painted it blue and then added my wreath to it by drilling a small hole in the cabinet door and strung ribbon through the hole to hang from my door i then added a bow to complete the wreath i love how missed the post on how i made the bags you can go here to catch that tutorial i made puff paint by using 1 2 cup flour 1 2 cup salt and 1 2 water mixed it added food coloring and then poured into these wilton plastic bottles i bought the bottles at wal mart for 2 00 for a 2 pk each batch fit in the bottles perfectly i made these felt fish a few years ago for my little guy and he still loves them i have a mini blow up pool we will have ready for the fish to go in the pond mr and mrs potato head i am pretty sure these will be a big hit book of mormon paper dolls when i saw the printable here i knew it would be perfect for one of our activities temple lacing card printable found here color by number printables found here i was going to make homemade watercolor paints but i have quite bag apostle match game found here i made two sets the first set i made the two sided cards which i used for the tic tac toe game and the second set for this matching game but left the backs blank tic tac toe apostle style when i was at hobby lobby buying felt to make the bags jaden wanted me to buy the dinosaur felt and asked me to make him something with it so i came up with this tic tac toe it s played just like tic tac toe we will throw the bean bag on an apostle card taking turns until someone gets three in a row there is information on the back of each card that we can learn more about the apostle while playing if jaden chooses to do so this foam kit i had on hand it is a jungle picture frame anything foam would work i gathered some popsicle sticks and glue and i will let creativity
